Hi everyone I'm 34 yrs old and about 100lbs over weight and sick and tired of it! I've been married almost 15 yrs and have a wonderful supportive (love me no matter what size) husband.:beating:

I was somewhat hesitant about starting a diary but after reading some our yours, I am sooo phsyced about getting rid of this FAT! You all are a true inspiration.

I have done just okay on my eating this week. Had a birthday party on Monday and yes I ate cake & chinese food! The two diet sins. Oh well I just got right back up on the horse and actually lost 1lb this week.:p

I think the key for me is NO diet coke--water only. Those things make me bloat up like a bullfrog! Of course I am definitely eating better and I am going to "try" to commit to exercising.

We are going on vacation the 15th, I may fudge on the eating part. (literally I will probobly eat fudge:jump:). But we are going to the mountains and I also plan to burn those extra calories with some hikes!

Well that's about it for now, look forward to reading more diaries!

 
Hi! And Welcome to your diary. These things are fantastic for keeping you on track and the support from everyone is great as well!:D

I got back from a cruise about a month ago and gained 5 lbs while away. Vacation is not such a big deal if you stay sensible about everything, but hey it is a vacation.

Exercise is a hard habit to form but once you've got it into your life it's a definite must in your schedule or you'll feel pretty crappy. Hikes in the mountains will be an awesome start.

Keep up with the diary and keep track of your calories and you'll be ridding yourself of FAT in no time!

AHHHH Saturday's, they're the best. Doing pretty well today, woke up got my walking shoes on and walked a mile. Ate a good breakfast and working on my water.

Will keep active today around the house cleaning etc, hopefully I will get my butt out there again this afternoon and walk another mile.

Well I didn't get that extra mile in on Saturday ended up getting together with family and watched the Gators stomp Troy! Gooooo Gators.

I ended up eating a little more than I should have while watching the game, but started Sunday out with my mile and kept active with some serious house work and getting ready for vacation. Only 4 more Days!!

weighed in on monday and lost another 1.5 lbs, go me! Walked my mile last night--boy I'm outta shape my legs are sore. But it feels sooo good to make this change.

Today is Tuesday and so far so good, although I am watching the clock waiting for lunch, (starving--yeah right I could probobly live a week off stored fat LOL). Plan to walk my mile tonight after it cools off a little & by cools of I mean under 99 here in FL its like walking in a sauna, but hey maybe that's an added advantage.

Friday--The remainder of this week has been crap emotionally. I am soo looking forward to vacation today will not pass fast enough. I have not weighed in yet today, but I have a feeling it will be up a little due to hormonal issues.:(

Anyway my eating has been pretty good for the most part but no more exercise this week, things have just been too crazy. But vacation should bring about plenty of hike so I am looking forward to that.

I dread going in to work today. Why can't people come in do their work be NICE and go home? My best friend and only constant coworker quit yesterday. (Finally got tired of taking abuse everyday.) So my day is bound to be very long as the doctor will not even be in today so there will really be nothing to do.

Thank God today is Friday and vacation starts tomorrow!!!
 
Okay I am up the 1.5 lbs that I lost:mad: But hopefully that is just the hormanal thing. They day overall has not be as bad as expected just a little over 1 hr left.

Made a poor choice for breakfast of toaster pastry, but only had 1/2 cup of soup and an apple for lunch. Getting really excited about vacation!

Well, I hope you have a great vacation. You work in a Dr. office? I do too (its just my day job, IRL I'm a starving artist...lol...or I would be if I didn't have a day job).
 
Back to reality

Okay I am back from vacation and into the swing of things again. We actually made it back the middle of last week and I have been reading the forums almost everyday but have been a little discouraged and didn't write in my diary.

Vacation was great!! Those mountain hikes really kicked my butt. But they were awesome got lots of great pix. AND the best part is last night when I finally got back on schedule and walked I saw a great difference in my stamina! GO ME. :jump:

I gained 2 lbs on vacation even though I did alot of walks and watched what I ate for the most part, I guess that fudge just sticks to ya!lol Anyway I have managed to lose the 2lbs this week so I am proud of that. I joined the walk challenge today & I am going to join the 2lbs per week challenge as well.

I went to the Gyn yesterday about fertility issues and got another reality check. She told me she will not do any testing until I lose at least 10% of my body weight. Now I know I need to do this for myself and the baby but come on I know fat people get pregnant all the time. So I spent the rest of the visit crying like a baby:cry:and felt even worse for being a cry baby. But after leaving and driving the hour back to the office I have decided that she is right. SO I am going back in 6 weeks & I hope to have lost 10 lbs.

I also came back and started looking up different hikes that I can do over the weekends since we enjoyed it so much in the mtns. I already have a few planned for the next few weekends. All in all that has been my last few days. Everyone have a great day.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was a good day, I walked 1/2 mile at lunch and walked my regular mile once I got home. When me and hubby were walking last night our cat was following us. Then he just stopped and starting meowing really loudly--Strange but oh well. Off we went without him a few minutes later down the trail a coyote jump out of the woods right in front of us! I'm not sure who was more suprised us or him cause he took off like moody's goose across the field. We finished the walk and found our cat hiding in the woods on the way back, LOL. He's a wiley one! Anyway we had a great & exciting walk. Today I plan to get in another 1/2mi at luch again.

This has been a good week for me. I have really commited to my eating and excersice and though I havn't gotten my afternoon walk in the last two days due to thunderstorms, I can tell it is paying off! I lost 4.5 lbs this week. I am soooo totally motivated to keep this up.

I would like to get an elliptical machine for the house--have no idea how much they cost but I am going to check it out today. However in the past I have not stayed diligent in my excersice....soooo.....I am going to make this a reward for keeping up the routine. :rolleyes:

I have a few hikes in the area me & hubby are going to go for this weekend. He is losing some weight also. So proud of us.

Pizza is my Kryptonite

Well I have been around this week just too embarassed to post. This weekend did not go as planned!:mad: All my plans just went by the wayside. We had a house full of company and it was decided before I got home Friday that pizza would be supper. Okay I can deal with that--except my father-in-law did the ordering and I swear I think we had 12 pizza's bread sticks and wings!! Now pizza is my absolute favorite so I knew I would eat some.....Okay girl you can do this two, maybe three pieces won't kill your efforts. I started out fine and went into a downward spiral. Since we ordered soo many pizza's they were around the house all weekend so I made a hog of myself:drooling:

I was able to get my walk in for Saturday morning but nothing on Sunday just more pizza:eek: Monday showed a gain of 1.5 lbs but I am over it now and back on track. Hopefully I can turn it around and have a loss this week.

I also had a friend at work offer me a gazell trainer for free!:) So I think I will take her up on it since time will be changing soon and if I want to walk after dark will have to use a flashlight--like last night, because we live way out in the boonies and there are no street lights in the hay fields!!:rotflmao:

Anyway the pizza incident did not crush my movtivation, it just gave me a chance to overcome the first big hurdle in my lifestyle change. Can say it was a total sucess but at least I'm not sitting in front of the TV with a bad of Chips Ahoy right now!

I do hope to get in maybe one hike this weekend but we also have to do some shoe shopping for hubby and that will take us out of town for most of the day. We will see what developes through the week. Okay I'm done now!

It is a learning experience when you put the pounds back ..
either one of two things happen..
1) you give up and get discouraged ...
or 2) you keep trecking, just jump on the wagon and keep on a going ...
and you have decided you will keep going and thats a triumph unto itself...
You kick ass!

One of my personal challeges is a Halloween challenge. This year I am going as the crazy cat lady. haha Next year my challenge is to lose enough pounds to go as...oh heck I don't know but something other than a fat lady!

I also want to take time to express my appreciation for the group of people on this forum. Coming on when you are having a bad day and reading other struggles, encouragement and sucesses really changes my outlook on losing my own weight. Thanks guys for all the encouragement!!

maybe you should make a goal of extending your journal ..write in it a lot ..we are sure to visit ..newbies will show up ...people will come and go ... but some people are consistant ..

Hi Freaksgurl,

I have just read through your diary and think that you are doing great. We all have incidents with things like pizza (and we wouldnt have got big if we didnt know that if pizza is there it gets eaten) and have seen diets go out the window after a food frenzy. You have got beyond it and lost more weight. Well done.

You have a great incentive with the medical testing for losing the weight that the doctor dictated. I am sure that you can do it.

I am a PCOS lady - which is a hormonal condition which brings infertility and extreme weight gain among other things. I really encourage you to get the specified weight lost and get the testing done. You are still young enough that they may be able to help any infertility issues that you may have. These solutions are not always there a few years down the path.

Like you, I go walking a lot. I now wear a pedometer all the time to see how far I have walked. I find it very useful and would recommend you to get one.

I had a horrible flash back about pizza just last week. When Rob and I lived together we would order pizza late at night if we were hungry at all and each eat 4 slices... PLUS I would get an order of wings and eat them myself. I feel guilty and gross even now thinking about it.

During my weightloss I've learned what being satisfied feels like. I don't like that full feeling in my belly anymore. I no longer want to stuff my face with pizza. 2 slices is my limit now and I eat them slow and savor the flavor.

You'll get there. It takes time and everyone has setbacks. Great job pushing yourself and losing that extra 1/2 lb!
