Frankies Diary

Hi Felici and Margaret,

So nice to hear from you. I have just got in from the first morning walk with the boys, will write this and then walk to the gym for a PT session at the gym. It is a glorious day for a change. When up at the gym I will by tonights dinner and a few more christmas pressies.

Then will walk home with the backpack on and pack my bag for NZ, and this afternoon am catching up with a girlfriend. Yesterday I walked round to a girlfriend and saw her 4 week old baby - she has 3 under 3. Thank goodness she has alot of family and support. We had a cup of tea and she had bought cake but I passed on it.

I am beyond excited to see my dad, and yes, I know I have lost weight and I certainly feel alot healthier, so I can't wait to see him. He has moved house since I last saw him, and we bought him a burmese cat earlier this year, and I get to meet her for the first time too.

I won't be able to write till next wednesday, so everyone have a great few days, and will udate you when I get back.

Best wishes,
Frankie

Wow! Your energy levels must be phenomenal! I say this cos it must take a lot to do so the amount of exercise you're doing - and also cos I bet it charges you up to do so much!! That's despite the tired muscles. :)

Enjoy your fit feeling trip!! See you soon. :)

Hello Frankie!

Hi Everyone,

I'm ba-ack!

NZ was great, even the weather was good, and I had the best time with my Dad and his lovely wife. We went for walks, and to mass, and I took them out for a nice lunch, and they took me to a new shopping centre, which I hated, but they liked getting out. I even bought hubby some smoked snapper which I had packaged up and brought back through customs. So he is very happy for that. I spoiled my parents with lots of pressies and it was lovely to meet Cindy, the cat we bought my dad. She is a cinnamon burmese, about the colour of a leather chammy with sprinklings of cinnamon on her nose, ears, paws and tail. Utterly adorable, and yes - VERY spoiled.

Diet went out the window, and exercise was minimal in comparison to what I have been doing here, but it was 4 days only, and I have already been for my walk with the boys this morning, and am walking to the gym for an hour session with my PT later today.

I am actually quite tired but that will pass. And am looking forward to plain food and good cooking over the next few days. Still have some christmas shopping to do, but not much.

Best wishes to all, and thanks for saying hi when I was away,

Frankie

Hi Frankie

I am pleased to see you back (naturally I missed you) and am pleased that you had a good time.

It is no surprise that the diet and exercise was put on hold. We would have all done the same in similar circumstances. Obviously you are straight back into the swing of things with your walk and gym already. :hurray: Well done!

Dont worry if your weight is slightly up if you splurged while away. It will be straight back down in a day or two now that you are back to your routine.

Take care:seeya:

Hi Margaret,

Yep, did the weekly weigh in at the gym after my session yesterday and am up to 76.05 kilos, and I have noone to blame but myself. But that's cool - I know I am back into my routine.

It's another wet and ugly grey day today, and have taken the boys out for a quick walk, but will take them out for along one shortly and then the gym for me for a session with my PT. After that, I still have some christmas shopping to do. But will see what I can carry in my backpack for my journey home.

It's really nice to be home.

Off to make some brekky.

Frankie

Hi Frankie

By my calculation that is only 0.45Kg up which is about a pound. You should feel good about that. My weight wiggles about at that type of level from one day to the next. It isnt a major gain from a short holiday of excess. It will be off in no time now that you are back into the swing of things.

Take care

Hi Frankie! It's great to hear that you had such a good time on your holiday! That is what really counts in that situation.

Four days is brief as far as weight loss goes, and clearly it wasn't enough to do any damage to your attitude either.

Margaret is right about the one pound - you could have seen that as a random fluctuation, even if you'd been very happy with your food and exercise.

We all knew that your weight loss programme wouldn't really fit in to the holiday and I'm sure you were confident, as I was, that you would be straight back into it when you got back. That's what really matters as far as your weight loss goals go!

It's good that you're getting a few days where you can relax a bit with your simple foods before you have to deal with more special time issues! :)

Hi Felici and Margaret,

Thank you so much for stopping by. And am enjoying being back in my routine that's for sure. Had a great day yesterday, and Margaret, barbequed some salmon with salad for dinner. Yum! The rest of the day I ate to plan with homemade veg soup for lunch - yum again.

Did heaps of exercise, the bulk of it walking but also a PT session at the gym. So all good really.

What's not so good is I get on the net to do banking and read through credit card statement and discover that nice restaurant we went to with friends last wednesday charged us twice!!!! One with tip and one without!!! I am furious and will be calling at 9am - and that's an extra $460, and I hate to think it, but I bet they think people don't keep track at this time of the year. So let's hope we sort it out nicely, if not hubby will have to personally go down to the restaurant as it is round the corner from his work. Thinking positively it is just a mistake that needs to be sorted. Trouble is, it leaves you with such a bad taste in the mouth. We never go out to such expensive places and it was the first time I had been out to dinner in months, well, except our local italian, whose bill for the two of us is just over 10% of that big bill. But our friends had not been to Sydney in over 5 years and we wanted to make it a special night. Now it is tarnished.

End rant, have a great day everyone,

Frankie

Ideal!! A nice way to get going again!!

Sorry about the credit card thing. As you say - probably just an error, but those kinds of errors can set our hearts a flutter - especially if they can't be addressed as soon as they're noticed. I hope it's all fixed now.

I love the sound of all that exercise though. And your food sounds delicious! I can just about smell that soup and now I'm thinking of how I can get some for myself tomorrow! Won't be as yum as homemade though.

Have a great start to your weekend!!

Hi Frankie

The food sounds so good - healthy and tasty too. You know hw much I like salmon.

It is great that you are straight back into the exercise too. My poor pedometer thought it was broken yesterday. It was the first day in about 6 months that I didnt go on a long walk.

I hope that the credit card is sorted out. It was probably a genuine mistake - I suppose these things easily happen when people are busy. This type of thing is always very annoying though.

I hope that you are having a good day / weekend. Enjoy the bliss before the return of sundry in-laws back again.

Take care
Love

Hi Frankie. Well Christmas and Birthday were happy for me, but not a good weight losing combo! I hope you have been having a happy a time too - weight wise also!!

Hi Frankie! I hope you get back here while my HAPPY NEW YEAR siggie is still up!

Have a wonderful 2008!

Hi Everyone,

Wow, I am finally back!!! Thanks everyone for stopping by, so nice to hear from you all, and a happy new year to everyone!

Well, the house was full of people until the 28th (my birthday) and we then went away on an unplanned excursion to stay with friends at their beach house, so I haven't been here to pop in like usual. We had the best time, and ate and drank far too much, but that's life. It was perfect beach weather and we loved swimming, well for me that means just getting wet, and having barbeques, and reading and relaxing.

We came back new years eve as a friend has a rather large boat and so we bought in the new years on sydney harbour and were very lucky to have a fabulous spot right at the front with no boats in front of us. It was magic and a truly memorable evening.

Yesterday I just relaxed as we didn't get home till 2am and the boys had me up for their walk at 6am, so not much sleep.

I am finally back and can start my regular routine - thank goodness!!!

So am going to read through a few diaries with a cup of tea and then go for a walk. Summer has finally arrived here and it's really hot, so it's not as pleasant walking, but it is something I have to do. I have major goals in 2008 and they don't include this spare tyre round my tummy!!

NJ, I LOVE LOVE LOVE maine coone cats - I am sooooooo jealous! They are one of the breeds I would love to have one day, but our two burmese girls have just turned 10 and I hope to have them both healthy and happy for some time still. Would adore to see a picture of both the guinea pig and pussy cat!

Hugs to all,
Frankie
