Hi Natalie Jo,
Thanks for stopping by. The toe is fine - I used hypericum oil on it, a natural antibiotic and nerve healer. It's all good, a bit painful in shoes but ok. On the kayaking front, I am huge and unco-ordinated, and make a real dork of myself but just don't care. I love being on the water and outside and so what if people laugh at me or whatever, I'm still out there, and feel bloody lucky to have access to the beach and can do it. I have spent years living by this beach fat and depressed locked in my house (my own doing) embarassed to go out - no more. I am going to enjoy it as much as I can. Especially as we might be moving soon.
Well food was great yesterday, except for the wine with dinner, but I am not going to beat myself up about that. Could have been way worse. I actually cooked dinner, grilled skinless chicken breast and veges, instead of ordering pizza or thai takeaway, which I must say, I was very tempted to do (especially home alone on a friday night). Exercise was about 2 hours of walking all up.
Today the rain is back and just got in from walking the boys who are now enjoying a well deserved sleep. We all got absolutely soaked but that's ok. So that's half my walking for the day. I plan to do the rest of my walking by going to get a dvd to watch tonight, some fresh salad ingredients and fish for dinner. So that should take me up to 3 hours walking.
You know, this weather is just insane. It's the first of December, the middle of summer here, around 8.30am and it is dark outside, pouring and looks like winter. Too bizarre.
Last night the nerighbours had a party with a live band - she was pretty good actually, but they were loud and so had a broken night's sleep. Am excited as hubby is home tomorrow, can't wait. He's been gone for about 2 months, excluding one week when he was home. The first trip was to Europe for a holiday where he did a sailing regatta, of course I was invited (never been to europe) but couldn't go because of school commitments, and this past 3 or so weeks for a work trip around south east asia. It will be so nice to have him home.
Anyway, at least with this nasty weather it's good for study, although I was hoping to sit in the sun and study working on a wee bit of a tan. I am glaringly white. Oh well.
Thanks for your support everyone. This place keeps me motivated, and I am sooooo determined.
Frankie

)I didn't have any scales at home when I started so I weighed myself at a shopping centre once a week and I still do that. When I first got my home scales they used to fluctuate by about 2 kg - and not just day to day - minute to minute! For some reason they have settled down now. Someone reminded me about just looking at the highest in the range, or the lowest in the range and I found that helpful - I just started looking for when a new number would come up that was lower than before and would take that as encouragement that overall it was dropping. Conversely a new higher number that I hadn't seen would be a warning!! Your scales ....
I don't know!! LOL!! I hope they were just having an off week, but WOW!!
This shows that you are getting healthier. It is a wonderful feeling isnt it?
