Forearms????

So I have been working out a standard push/legs/pull workout incorporating free wieghts, some machines, and those lever machines you stack the plates on. I was wondering if my forearms would be getting worked out just by doing presses and what not, or should I start adding in some forearm exercises? If so, what are the best forearms exercises? I used to do the wind up and down weight when I played baseball, but I dont have one of those anymore. Thanks again guys. Just past 4 months, will post some before and after pics when I hit the 6 month mark.
 
Some compound exercises work the forearms, but naturally they'll be worked out better with specific forearm exercises.



Find some exercise that appeal to you there.
 
in addition, don't cheat by using straps unless you have to. doing deadlifts and shrugs with heavy weights and no straps to assist you will help build grip strength and forearm strength.
if you need straps for the last set, fine, but try to ween yerself off of them, as the forearms/grip will catch up if you force it to.
 
Thanks for the advice, I was actually just going to ask about straps, THATS funny. I am just about to start incorporating some dead lifts into my routine.:cool:
