Forearms

Just a quick question. What are specific exercises for your forearms? I was unaware any existed, apart from resistance bands and stuff along them lines, as I thought you worked them by gripping the weights for other exercises.

Am I right, wrong or both?

Thanks

I do wrist rollers, and pinch block holds... But, the forearm will normally get a good workout from bicep related stuff... Like LV said, throw in some hammer curls and wrist curls... Or, even some reverse curls, supination/pronation.

Forearm specific is not necessary unless you are pinpointing martial arts training or rock climbing, etc...

Try slamming your open hands into a bucket full of sand. Then close your fist completely and re-open it in the sand.

I have the grippers (trainer and #1), pinch block, Titan's Telegraph, Eagle eye loops, and wrist roller... I use these tools at the beginning of climbing season to cautiously get my tendons back up to speed.

I never heard of doing that before. Cool idea, I'll try it sometime. Thanks.

Some one would only know all this if they climbed :p

Plate pinches are good, and then I just hang on the pull up bar as long as possible just using my finger tips.

well it depends if you want huge forearms or not. the forearms normally get a decent workout from gripping everything, but if you want them to grow you can hit them hard with wrist curls and reverse wrist curls (or reverse curls too) anyways it depends on what you want.
