Forearm Pain while doing bicep curls

Hello. So here is my story. I have a pretty big frame, so I can be very strong. I used to not work very often due to the nature of the sports I played. I have started doing it a lot over the past several months and I have seen big gains. Everything has been going well and I really like my strength and my body definition. I am 6.1, 175 and can benchpress my own weight and some change and I am constantly adding more.

However, recently, I have started experiencing very sharp pain in the forearm (kind of like shin splits) when I do bicep curls. Today, it got very bad very suddenly and I couldn't even do triceps exercises. I don't think it is a strain, because I have had it on and off in the past (just like shin splits). I am worried that if I can't continue working out, I will lose all the progress I have made. has anyone experienced this before? If yes, how did you deal with it? Should I just do a lot more forearm exercises? Should I stop doing bicep curls for a bit, and if yes, what else would recommend for bicep strength? Thanks a lot in advance and good luck

You won't really lose all the progress you made if you stop bicep curls entirely, that is...if you are doing powerful compound exercises along with those curls.

As far as your injury is concerned, I guess you can ease up on the curls....forearm specific exercises may contribute to the pain.

Same thing happens to me, when i put the weights down after doing bicep curls i get a sharp pain in my forearm for about 2 seconds then it stops.

Just stop the bicep exercises for 2weeks and then see how it is.
you will work your biceps with any exercise that "pulls" towards the body.

If you post up your workout we can have a closer look.

I usually do 3 sets of standing curls with 45lbs in each arm simultaneously
3 sets of curls, sitting with the inclined support with 40lbs alternating arms
and finally, I go to the all-in-one machine and do curls either with either both arms or with just one arm, depending on the shape of the lever I attach to the string

Well, I don't know many other exercises for biceps and they have worked out well so far. I thought that doing different types of curls is the best. I will research some more routines later today
