For All the Current Trainers

Well, I'm a trainer but I don't work in a gym. Right now I'm doing online training and in a few months I'll be opening up my own gym in my home. I love training. What I love most about online training is that it's just so flexible! I can sit at my computer in my PJs at any time of the day. The most frustrating thing about training is taking all sorts of time to design programs and nutrition plans for people and then they end up not following the plan. I'm told that I am excellent as far as motivationa nd encouragement goes, but even so, people don't always stick to plans. It's hard to just let that go sometimes.
But all in all I love it.

I have done a lot of different jobs, and training is by far the best one I have experienced.

Pros:
- I am my own boss
- Set my own hours
- Wear comfortable clothes to work (no lame uniform)
- Sleep in every day
- Excellent pay (making more now part time as a trainer than I did full time as an engineer)
- Motivates me to stay in top shape
- Socialize with friendly people all day (clients)
- People look up to me
- I can change peoples lives dramatically

Cons:
- I must be doing some sort of marketing most of the time (can be expensive)
- I must keep educating myself and stay current with the science of training and nutrition, although this is hardly a con. It keeps my brain fit.
 
Anyone in a gym

Anyone on here work in a gym? lol Thats what I am gonna do, well obviously since I dont have experience. It seems like a rewarding job, and thats what its all about really.

I agree. The best is when they say that the diet didnt work when in reality, they didn't utilize it. They quit.
