Looks like I hit soft spot of few Americans here. Or should I say, I nailed it. HA
Well, I'm American, so are my parents, and so were my grandparents. And guess what? I don't care at all about football (AKA soccer) OR what you're referring to as "American" football. I truly don't care about any of it. So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your attempt to hit a "soft spot" with Americans regarding football was feeble (at least where I'm concerned).

But I do care that you've lumped all Americans together into one stereotyped, general rant.. all over something as stupid as sports, even. I mean, come on, there are about 300 million people in the US... surely you're not so dense as to think that we are all exactly alike, with no individual opinions or preferences. Do you really think that people in the US are somehow sub-human, that we would all fit into your shallow, distorted caricature? Do you honestly think it wise to make such a broad generalization, based solely on someone's geography?

By the way, perhaps I overlooked it, but I didn't see where you're from?

HA
If we came and bashed your country and the people in it, you wouldn't like it either. Please keep the name calling to yourself, we can have a discussion like adults or you can leave.

Angelkae,
Where in Arkansas are you from? I'm from NWA, BTW.

I live in NW Arkansas, as well. There are also a few other Arkansans on this site. JPfitness, JungleB, and I can't remember who else.

I have to say this thread is funny, I haven't seen a thread with such blatant trolling remain unlocked this long for quite a while:)

"Lastly, "World Series", whether named after a news paper or not, is a perfectly fine title for our final baseball series. I mean look at the team members - Asians, Cubans, Europians, Second generation immigrants, South Americans. MLB is not diverse by some regulation or AA nessecity, it chooses the best of the best all around the world. When someone pops up (ex. Matusui? - "Godzilla"), they offer him/her a boatoad of money and a chance to play with the big fish. Godzilla had some sick numbers when he played in Japan, and now in MLB he's met more challenging opponents."

That is unbelievably arrogant.

What part above to you find arrogant? Curious. That people from all over the world play in the MLB? That Godzilla found more challenging opponents in MLB? I am not understanding your train of though here. How is what he said arrogant? That he believes the best baseball players and most competive players are in the states? So what! I think the best cricket players are in England, the best ping pong players are in Sweden and Japan, the best long distance runners are from Kenya.. etc.. etc...

I am beginning to think that what some people think is arrogant, is just there natural tendancy to think that what every American thinks is wrong.
