I feel like a new baby, taking it's first steps in a big new world. On my weight loss journey. A little bit excited but scared too!!!! I have never been at my correct weight as an adult woman. So, it's hard for me to see in my mind what I would look like at my goal weight.

I look forward to meeting some new friends here, as we help each other reach our goals. Let's laugh together. OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :waving:

I desided to come in to meet other people dealing with the issues of being overweight. To help me loose weight while I also help you. I am now the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I am over 300 lbs, mostly stay at home all alone. For I have no friends. I have let food rule my life plus depression and I need help to break out of this fat body and find the woman inside who is not scared to live life.


Thanks for welcoming me here!!! Yes I have wrote into a dairy before and it did help at that time when I lost 70 lbs about 5 years ago. The plan I used at that time was Eat Right for Your Type, counting calories and excercise. My lowiest weight at that time was around 220 lbs. Why I stopped and gain the weight back. I was not ready to deal with how men looked at me and how one man aproched me as a woman who he wanted to get to know now but not when I was 70 lbs heavier. That scared me. Plus mentally I got buried out, so I gave myself permission to stop and eat what ever I wanted. Boy!! What a big mistake that was. Hard lesson to learn.

Hey RadiantPebble! How are you doing? This week I am working on shrinking my stomach alittle by drinking slim fast 2x's a day and eating one meal a day to prepare my stomach to register being full when I try to eat the correct portion amounts at meal time. Exercise will be, cleaning my place this week before I return to work. Then I am going to start working with my walking sticks, doing streaching and resistence exercises at home.

I am also going to start making my owen meals. Doing a low salt diet, for I have High Blood Presure.

Sad to say, drinking two slim fast a day plus a meal wouldn't be the way I would choose to go about shrinking my stomach and appetite. To get weight off and keep it off, you want to make lifestyle changes in a steady way. You don't want to need to drink two slim fast a day for the rest of you life! Also, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be getting enough calories to have energy for anything much less exercise. Take a look at this page to figure out what your caloric intake should be.

Getting into the habit of eating healthy meals and goodies in moderation is what will keep you going longer and stronger with the lifestyle.

The exercise sounds good :D And making your own meals at home is one of the best things you can do for yourself!
 
Thanks RadiantPebble for the advise. I took it and ran with it today and signed up into My Food Diary site that cost only $9.00 a month to join. So far I have only eaten 995 calories. I love how you can add food items not listed on their site and also input the nutrition facts of the food item added plus their's a fridge to list the foods items you used the most, so you do not have to search for them each time in the food log. Yahoo!!!! Plus all the other tools their to help you change your life style. I am soooooooo glad that you have reached out to me. You are one of my Angles.

I pray that you don't compare your weight loss to my chart, for being at this large weight at this point in my life, I am losing allot of water first and not yet into losing the fat. My weight loss will slow down soon and then the weight loss fight is on. :boxing: I am learning that Slow and Steady Win's The Race, just like the Tortes and The Hare Rabbit, by making right choices concerning my eating, exercise habits and also learning to love myself. What can I say I am a slow learning :newbie:
 
Well at least you're getting it right! That's what matters now. Are you drinking enough water every day? If you're losing water weight, then make sure you are putting enough of it back in your system.
 
Yes I am drinking enough water. My body retains water very easily. example when it's hot like right now I balloon up and when it's cold my body shrinks. That one of the reason I am watch my salt intake. I am glad to see you have lost some more weight. Keep up the good work. Yahoo!!!!!!!!! Today I big out. So it's back to being good tomorrow.
