Follow My Weight Loss Journey Using Turbo Jam

I am also using turbo jam to try reach my weight goal!
Thought I would let you know as it would be good to have a buddy using the same method to lose weight!

Hey Need2Lose! We are the same age, both mothers, both pear shapes (though I'm a lot bigger then you, lol)... And 2007 was my crazy year from hell. We seem to have a bit more in common as well... Just wanted to let you know another person can relate and we are all here for you!!! You can do it!!! Taking control of your life is hard when you are used to taking care of others, and while coming out of a series of tragidies... I'm still learning! You gotta start some where!

Your journey reminds me so much of my own. I just turned 30 and I was weighing 194 (I am now down to 183). I had never been so big without being pregnant. My Grandma died in Oct. of 2006 and I went into a serious state of depression (she was my life). I did manage to get down to 152 and gained it all back. Now I'm trying to take it one day at a time. I'm currently doing Atkins and hopefully I'll make it to my goal of 145. I am also the mother of 5 children. Good Luck and PLEASE keep me posted on your progress.

It's proving to be great! So far I've lost 8lbs and 10.5 inches in 10 workouts.

I have only had a chance to do 20min & 40min workouts, So not as long as I would have like to workout in the past week because of all the unexpected things that happened in the past two weeks.

But this Week and beyond I will be sticking to a 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day workout regimen. I will keep you posted.

I can truly under the pear shape syndrome..My hips was around 47inches..when i first started or should i say after I gave birth..it took me a very long time..to get down to current about 43inch..but would love to get back having around 36 to 38 inch hips..only a true spoon-ER would understand that it is easier to lose weight on the top half rather than the bottom half..and my top half has gone down quite a bit but not the bottom half..and honestly sometimes i get demoralized by thinking that I look like an alien but have to keep working out and telling myself that I will get to that proportionate shape soon..good luck..and keep me updated regarding the turbo jam..might be thinking of investing in one of those...:-D

I Know what your talking about I fine with 38 hips if there tone and not lumpy bumpy! After all of the weight is gone I just might just even out my body And treat my self to so new Boobies.:willy_nilly: I will keep you updated.

I'm so sorry to hear that 07' was a pretty bad year. Same age That's cool! And you know we have to get out sexy back by the time we turn 30. I'll be 30 on September 25th I will be in shape by then. We really need to gain control of our life, and learn not to let stress get the best of us...

I'm sorry to hear that. I Hope you can work through your loss I'm still trying daily to work thru mind. I'm just not going to do it with food anymore.

It hurts... My grandmother would always say don't cry for me when I'm gone,I know it will hurt but you have to go on living your life even when I'm gone.
(I would cry when she said that!)

In all honesty I thought I would never have to live without Her. I guess I was living in a fantasy world, but Reality is hard to deal with...

How do you feel using turbo jam so far? Are you noticing anything yet?

I know I'm not the person who started this thread ... but I have been doing Turbo Jam (as well as drinking water, and kinda watching the calories) .. In thirteen days I lost seven and a half inches total, and two pounds! May not seem like a lot but I can see the difference as well as everyone else. Plus I feel my muscles every day. : )
 
You gals all have great and uplifting stories. Stick with your program. Its so nice to see such great support from this community to all. With the great spirit you all have I know you will reach your goals.

I am trying to stick to a 1000 cal balanced diet. I think I am not taking in enough calories. I do best with a diet that tells me what to eat at each meal. I have a big event coming up in April, and I want to be way down on my weight by then.

I would for sure up the calories. I am at just over 1,500 calories but for you since you weight less try 1200-1300 calories. Your body probably thinks it is in starvation mode. at 1500 calories I am losing weight without being as active as I need to be.

I am planning on getting turbo jam cause i have heard some amazing things about it. It is just coming up with the money is the hard part as a full time college student. I really just hope it works out for me like so many others.

You should be getting more calories. Kind of off topic, but I remember a few years ago when I was talking to my doctor about losing weight and she told me to do a 1,200 calorie diet to lose. Looking back on that after reading on this forum, my doctor is an ass.

But yea, you need more calories.
 
Hi Everyone, I'm sorry I fell off the posting horse.

My computer crashed & so did I, time went by and I forgot about my membership here.

I've been so busy. I'll take out time next week to take some new photos in a new outfit to start updating in.

I'll try my best not to fall off the face of the earth again. So far I've lost 17lbs Since my last post forever ago.

I started back working out everyday on Jan. 8th 2009

So I'm off to a New Start Please HELP me stick to it!

Oh gosh, I bought T.J 2 years ago, used it twice and stopped but now that I see how much its working for you and others I will go dig out those DVDs and give it another try.
 
My story is somewhat similar. I'm 25 and 5'4".
Pre-pregnancy: 166
End of pregnancy: 216 (+50)
Found out I was pregnant again 8 mos later: 170 (-46)
Gave birth: 213 (+43)
Stalled and didn't try to lose weight for 6 mos: 190 (-23)
Current weight: 150 (-66 from my highest)
My girls are 12 mos and 29 mos now and I'm thinner and lighter than I've been in probably 3 or 4 years. I used Turbo Jam after my first daughter was born and then again when my second daughter was 6 mos old. I did it 5 days a week and counted calories and it worked! I'm still doing TJ for cardio 3 days a week and Turbo Sculpt and Ab Jam the other 2 days, but I haven't been as careful with my calories lately. I'd like to lose a little more but I'm pretty happy where I am.

It's always nice to find other TJ fans!
