FlyinFree- Headed to IronMan!

OK. My training log is "performance is not enough, and it is chocked full of photos and vids, and workout, test the body stuff.

This is for my Ironman, diet and training progress photos.

These are before (current 08/01/2007) photos taken after an Olympic Length Triathlon. The full body was taken right when I got home from the tri- after 3:43:24 of grinding my body to the max!! The others were taken later the same evening. Sorry NO PUMP UP.

Great photos FF, I always take progress pictures from cold too, anyone can look good with an artificial pump from a workout but you're looking pretty solid without it

Love the car, you'll look like Jack Bauer driving around in that :)
 
Stingo, not sure, at last check I was 16.3 I want to see 10, but sub 13 would be great for this half Ironman in Oct. On Oct 20th.

No Ironman yet. doing a half in Oct this year, and a full in Oct 08. if i can wait that long ;-0
 
You look solid FF! I don't think it'll take much at all to get where you want. You look like you have a TON of muscle to work with already. 16% seems high from the looks in these pics, you look less than that to me. Which method did you use to measure it?
I still think you are a beast to be going for the whole enchilada!!!
 
Dang, Ironman is for hardasses!

One of my friend's dad's did the ironman when he was younger, though now he's still really fit. For his 54th birthday he rode his bike up this hill 54 times. The incline on this hill was steep to the point that I was winded walking up it (I was rather unfit then, but still)

i got measued for BF% with that lil hand held thing. You hold two handles on a unit straight out in front of you.

2 more days of fun foods. Guess i better have some eh!!! sheesh!! My diet has become habit and I don't want any crapola food.

oh ick. The infamous bioimpedence. Try to get someone skilled at your gym to do calipers for you. The bio feedback method is highly inaccurate, especially with all the training you do (hydration levels are a HUGE factor in the outcome)

Yo FF! Lookin real gewd dewd, but I do agree w/ sparrow...those handheld digital BF% readers flat out suck! I had mine read 2 weeks ago for the first time w/one of those and it was 14% then a week later had it read w/the same one and it read 12.8% so I thought this aint right! He did it 3x's w/the calipers for me w/no clothes impeding and took 5 different measurement locations each time and we came up with 22% he said that was not the only time he has seen the handheld digitals be off that far....kind of ticked me off....cuz I started a more vigorous weight lifting program...I thought that was off....but hey you know how we get some times...take that pride b4 a shot of reality :yelrotflmao:

After 7 weeks of Triathlon training.... I weighed in today at 185 flat. that is off the street, had eaten breakfast, and just a regular day. Pulled off my shirt and here are 2 pics.

6 weeks to go. Going to try for a triple digit ride tomorrow, including attempting to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich 2 hours in.

Wish the pics would have turned out better. I actually have abs and ribs and obliques from the back. the body is fun to play with. but the adventure is better!!

Two things....

1.You look great, be very very proud. Guys half your age wish they could look like that.

2. What the hell is that tat on your shoulder? From here, it looks like a voodoo head or something.
 
that is a skull, a "desperate skull", falling backwards, with "blank" eyes as if sin is winning over, and as a passive victim he knows not why.... BUT there is an answer- and the banners say "take action" "or die" - based on James 2:26 faith without works is dead in deed......thus take action or die.

or it can just be a weird voodoo skull- werx 4 me
