Flumes Journal....

You are soooo Sooooo CLOSE to hitting the 190's it's INSANE!! Keep pushing buddy!!! You have GOT THIS!! :D!!!

;) Inspiring!! :iagree:!!

Hey, Flumes, I put my running program on hold too. Same thing, soreness in the legs even though I got new shoes. I hope you're feeling better.

Back online! Had four great days at the cottage with the family. The weather was beautiful...high 80's low 90's. Fireworks every night along with campfires by the shore. (Lotsa smores and camp fire hotdogs but more about food later lol)

So first...W2L, Eycky, Alta, Sunny, thanks for all the well wishes while I was gone. Great coming back here to some kind thoughts.

Ok.....I knew I wasn't going to get to the gym for a few days so one morning, I decided to run. So I told my wife to come and get me with the vehicle after 30 minutes. (I ran along the highway in one direction to see how far I could get.) I managed to do 4.1 kms in 40 minutes. (Yeah....she was late as usual! lol)....And it was split evenly between running and walking...so I did pretty good I think. And...because I didn't go to the gym, my legs felt alot better. So I am now going to run if I know I wont get to the gym for a couple days.

Ok...foodwise...
Because most of the four days was spent at camp....food wasn't the greatest. First of all, I didnt have oatmeal in the morning cause dopey me forgot to pack it. Big friggin duh! It really felt weird not starting my day with it. So most days were started with eggs and some meat like ham or sausages. And then I didnt snack properly because the meals were so large. And then there was beer and alcohol so my water intake wasn't good. And then there were the campfires...smores, and fire roasted hotdogs and a few wine too many. But it doesnt happen often...so I'm back on track now.

Today....
B-Oatmeal! YAY!!
L-Diced chicken breast and lettuce salad with a few cubes of cheese and low cal dressing
D-Leftover roasted chicken (no skin) and and brown rice (1/2+ cup)

I'm working nites for a couple so I will not weigh myself...too depressing as its usually high when I am working nites) Also, I tend to snack alot at work....so I'm hoping I have enough healthy stuff to keep me busy).

Ok...looks like I have a busy night ahead of me here at work....(4 days of journals to follow up on!)
So have a great nite kids and hope you are all doing specfriggintaculous!

Ciao bebies!

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Well worth the extra calories.:)
Falling off the wagon for a couple of days isn't what is important. The important thing is getting straight back on and that seems to be exactly what you have done.

Flumes, your weekend sounds wonderful wonderful wonderful. :) Kiddos must've had soo much fun with fireworks and bonfire. And yay for being back on track. I fell off too. But I'm back on track today. Lets finish this week strong!!

And more than 4kms in 40 mins is VERY good. You are going to be a running machine in no time!!

G'day peeps!

I woke up after nite shift and found I only slept for 3.5 hours. Grrrr. Couldn't fall back asleep so I started my day. Oh yeah...weghed myself and I was only 3 lbs over my lowest! Only! lol It pissed me off but I know the four days at camp of eating and alcohol was the problem. So back on track today.
As tired as I was, I hit the gym... today was my penance for the bad weekend. lol Its been 5 weeks since I started free weights and I have completed my first cycle. That means I now add 10% weight to all my exercises and start over. (Just as it starts getting easier, it gets harder lol)

Foodwise, I did well at work last nite. Except for 3 tablespoons of peanut butter...had a sugar craving lol....lets see how it all looks...

I cant remember when I ate everything so I'll just list

3 tbls peanut butter - 350 calories
1 large apple - 100
1 can tuna - 140
1 tomatoe - who cares..its a tomatoe not a chocolate eclair!
1 large cucumber - Same as above....piss off
1 swimming pool of water (well it felt like I could fill a swimming pool with the number of times I voided!)

Today....
B-Oatmeal w/ blueberries protein powder and milk (Woop Woop!) - 400
S-15 fresh Cherries - (gawd these cherries were huge and delicioous) - 100
L-Tuna and cottage cheese and 1/2 cucumber with s/p and vinegar 250
Going to work in a few so I hope I can keep the cals low there tonite.

Thats it in a nutshell....hope y'all have a great nite!

Flumes, you are doing great!

4km in 40 mins is brilliant! Camp sounds like a lovely time with the family and food is bound to slip a bit when you are away from home so don't give yourself a hard time over it.

Great to have you back though :D

Nice going, Flumes. I really need to add weights into my fitness thingie. I will do that as soon as I reach home. Sorry to hear you haven't been getting enough sleep. I haven't been getting too much either because of the heat. I hate having to turn the AC on, but have been doing that for my little nieces. I think I'm gonna have the AC on tonight so that I can have a good night's sleep.

Looking good food wise. Lots of fruits, veggies and tuna. YUM!

Thanks for the kind words pals!

I just got home from work (5:30 am here) and am unwinding before bed. Too tired to drive out to the cottage and its really foggy, so I'm going to Zzzz for a few.

Bad nite at work last nite....not foodwise or work wise...but the internet was down and I was hoping on following a few journals but no such luck. (And it was really friggin boring to boot not being able to peruse your journals by the way!)
So when I get back tomorrow nite, I will catch up..promise.

Foodwise was ok....ate too many cherries tho. Gawd they are good this time of year around here.
I also had a fair bit of water, 1 can of tuna, 1 good palmful, (not handful lol) of almonds, one tomatoe, one cucumber and 1/2 a sausage pattie plain.
(Lots of nibbling...again bored outta my mind)

Gonna take the kids fishin today and will do a 5km run/walk tomorrow.

Hope you all have a fantastic hump day. TTYL

FLU-"is thinkin its great to have Pals like you guys"-MES

(And thanks for the smiles Jjjay and Eycky! too funny!)

Night shifts suckkkk--I always get so bored and then you get hungry. Well, not even hungry. Just insanely bored which makes you pick at stuff. At least you had healthy stuff! Hope you have fun fishing! xxxx

G'day eh! :eh:

5:40 am here and am about to start work....

Calories are not good when I am at the cottage. Haven't weighed myself in a couple, but am sure I drifted from 200. Oh well.....

The good news is I went for another run/walk yesterday. Not the 5 km I was planning....but I did do 3.7 km in 30 minutes. I probably could have went further, but my pace was dwindling as my right heel was starting to bother me. (I need real running shoes). And it was friggin hot in the sun....(dopey me decides to run at 2:00 in the afternoon....hottest part of the day here)
Anyways....on Sunday night, I plan on doing the 5km. (fingers/toes crossed).

Monday July 12th....Sir Elton John is playing at our local arena....and we have pretty good seats. (Small arena seats about 5000 peeps, which is unbelievable to have attracted Sir EJ!) Anyways...I am jacked about that.

K...Time to hit the start button and make some power. Checking journals in a few :) Have a great day kids!

Very well going on the running and good luck for Sunday.
I am so jealous that you are going to see Elton John. I live on a small island so hardly anybody ever comes to perform here.

You seem to be making great progress on your running Flumes! Remember back when running for a minute was torture? Look how far we've come! WOO HOO!!!

Good job on the running!! I miss running, it is impossible to run here any time of the day. It NEVER cools down. You are doing so so well, Flumes. Have a healthy weekend. Wanna hear about EJ concert.

The running sounds great Flumes - you are really getting there!! Really proud of you! You'll just gather momentum from now on in - the hardest part is the start - it is never that hard again.

Wow, make sure you update about Elton John, that's huge!

I'm hoping to join there running world with the rest of you all very shortly, so keep it up, I may have to use your journal to keep me going when I want to stop! LOL! Have a great weekend.

Thanks Jjjay Jjjay! Its still a bitch, (pardon my english accent), but motivating myself to go is getting easier. Also, I'm not scared to lose my breath...or embarrassed if people see me anymore. And I'm not 'fall on the floor dead' tired afterwards.

Oh yeah...the best thing?? Because of this site...it doesnt feel like I'm running on my own!

Thanks again!
