Flumes' Journal Part Deux - No Lookin Back

200 lbs. And holding.

So this chapter is going to be a bit harder than the first. It seems bad enough just trying to stay the same weight, let alone lose just one more freeking pound to get into Onederland!

But its gotta go.

Goal is set for 185. Timeframe will be by June 2011.

Let's see what happens :)

Hey Flumes my friend! Welcome back!!!! I thought I'd stop in a check out your new digs!

We're here and ready to cheer you on into onderland - and it's not going to be very long I'm sure!

Go Flumes, GO!!!!!! :hurray: :hurray::hurray:

Go Flumesboy GO!

Lovely to have you back hon. Onederland is just round the corner and June is an achievable target for 185....just got to get on down to it!

Woot I found you!! :) So glad you're back....not that I've been consistent by any means lol. I think losing 15 pounds by June is completely do-able. I'm no expert but if you're stuck I know Steve had alot of good advice on getting things jump started when your body got used to things. Maybe do some research and see if you can find something that fits you to make this fun again and take some of the frustration out of it. Anyway you're doin awesome! Happy holidays! :santa:

Can't tell you how nice it was to come into the forums and find you back posting. Looking forward to having you around again :)
My goal is also for June so good luck to us both.

Thanks for the well wishes and the warm welcome back. Muchily appreciated.

So this week.....

Foodwise was pretty good.....at least 2/3 of every day.
Mornings were oatmeal and lunches were usually healthy.

Its the dinners I had a problem with. My wife has been home from work, (mild depression) and has been cooking delicious meals for when I get home from work. Its too hard to eat the proper portioned amount of calories for the day when you're looking at a mouth watering steak, or plate of pasta and home made sauce and meatballs.. So I do my best during the day and expected to go over in the evening.
So far, I think the scale feels sorry for me and has been hovering at 199 despite the liberal calories.

Speaking of my wife, she surprised me earlier this week.

TMI.....avoid graphically disturbing read.

The nice part of a long term relationship with a partner is you both get to know eachothers likes and dislikes. And one of our likes is keeping the grass to a minimum around the playground if you know what I mean.
So, this week, she left out a bottle of depilatory creme...and me not thinking, applied it like normal and awaited expected normal results.

Come time to rinse, I notice a little more warmth....actually, it was down right burning ... OUCHIE!!!!

When I got everything off, it definitely looked painful...so I asked my wife about the creme on the counter and she said it was new stuff. Works in 3 minues!!!!!!!!!

OH MY GAWD....It was on for like 10 minutes.

So this week was, a little uncomfortable to put it mildly lol. Luckily, everything looks like its back to normal....and should be operational by weekend :) The good thing is, I'm hoping the folicles are permanently damages so that we don't have to go thru that again!

Hope you all have a great day!

Take care and eat well!

Poor Flumes! Hahahahaha! Sorry, not funny. :willy_nilly: Well, a little funny. I've done similar things, as a fellow fan of the lack of grass or whatever silly euphemism you used :p

Hard to resist yummy home-cooked food so congrats on still being at 199!!! xxx

OWIES!!! Thank goodness that industrial stuff didn't eat thru any of the playground equipment - that wouldn't have been good!!!

So does your wife do similar upkeep to the playground area? Or just you? I don't think it's fair to make the men do all the yardwork, right?

Great job hovering just on this side of onderland, even with the awesome food!

Ha ha! The things we do for the ones we love :blush5:
Best of luck on the second half of the journey Flumes, it's all down hill from here lol

Flumes, hiding that type was pretty clever, lol. I was tired enough when I read it that I really thought you'd just changed your mind and left a space :X Then that one brain cell fired and I thought to highlight the text. I think from now on in my journal I'm going to do that with all my rants :D lmao Glad you're recovering from that incident...that had to be really awful. I never thought to use creams but long as I don't do what you did maybe it'd be safer than my method. I've had few too many run ins with a razor, also pretty unpleasant, lol.

Flumes - I actually read through your other journal - very inspiring. Your posts are were so upbeat and fun to read. I hope you don't mind me following part deux.

LOL Flumes! Lets hope there's no permenant structural damage!

I hear you on the home cooked dinners front - biggest problem I have with seeing so much of my parents is all of the delicious food on offer. I've found having soup for lunch helps as its filling but usually only like 200 cals plus, just got to try and be good on the portions and leave 1/3 of whatever is dished up!

Could you imagine having to go to the hospital because of 'equipment damage' and having to explain that?

Ok, I'm picturing him being rushed to the ER in an abulance, a doc in full gown and mask comes out to assess the damages and says "The patient has extensive chemical burns. Nurse, prepare for amputation!"

Sounds like your wife is a pretty good cook. I wish I wasn't such a good cook - then all this weight loss wouldn't be quite so hard. Hubby was skin and bones all his life until we got married. Then he actually started to fill out a bit. But after eating his mother's cooking a few times I can completely understand why he was so thin! He's one of the few men I know that prefers his wife's cooking to his mothers!

That his hilarious!!

Oh and Flumes...where are ya? Must be busy with the holidays :) That or we've been talking about his "equipment" too much, LMAO

It's almost Christmas eve here. This past week has been horrible. I have had a pain in my gut that is persistant....no other symptoms...so I am hoping its just stress.

I haven't felt much like posting because of it, but I wanted to let you all know you are still thought of. really,,,,like every day when I jump on the scale and think of what to eat.

Hopefully after Xmas, I'll get in to see the doctor.

I'll pop in a bit more over the next few days.

As far as the palyground goes...everythings ok. ;)

Big hugs to you all. I hope to catch up to all the threads and see how you're all doin'!

Take care!
