I should be working on a paper right now, but I'll give this a shot instead...
1. Growing up I hated my red hair, now I LOVE it. I'm the ONLY one in my family with red hair.
2. I went all the way to India and realized I don't believe in God in the religious, omnipotent sense. While I was there, a 7-year-old changed my life. Her name was Laxmi, she had AIDS, and her parents abandoned her, but she was always taking care of the other children, smiling, and loving life. She made me realize that no matter the cicumstances, I can be happy. She has no idea how much of a difference she has made...
3. Both my parents are complicated alcoholics. My father moved to California when I was 10. I used to be "daddy's little girl", he won't even speak to me anymore. I just hope he's happy...
My mother spent my entire childhood trying to kill herself. She has terminal cancer now and suddenly decided she wants to fight for life and live...? She has liver cancer and still drinks. I'm the only one that knows she still drinks. I don't blame either of them for anything, but I forgive them for eveything.
4. I don't regret anything in my life. I wouldn't go back and change anything.
5. My brother hung himself with a belt he borrowed from me. I was in the next room sleeping, I blamed myself for so long. When I'm having a really rough time, I go to the cemetery and talk to my brother. Things always turn out ok after I talk to him.
6. I am very responsible, especially compared to my friends my age. I go to school full-time, work my ass off, take care of my family, and find time to have fun. I have no idea how I turned out this way. Hard work pays off.
7. I'm an artist. I love to draw and paint, but I won't admit it to anyone and get very shy about showing my work to people.
8. I love anything spontaneous. The more risk involved, the more I want to do it.
9. I am truly happy and love life. I love to make people laugh, take care of people. I have fun even when I'm by myself.
