fitness competition

so i came on a few years ago saying i wanted to compete in a fitness competition but i put it on the back burner alone withmy fitness workouts and well.....i never did it....well now i am very pissed at myself because i put ALL my dreams on the back burner....i really want to do this but i am kind of lost how you get started.......anyone that can help me?
 
first thing to be ready for is scrutinizing.

Fitness competitors are the real deal, the constant diet control, eating 9 meals, the water, and all that stuff...

pick a competition, set the date, and go from there.

well i dont want to do a routine......i just want to do the figure competition....i will post the pics in a little bit...i admit i am no where near a good candidate as of now but i have been told i have an okay base......ill try to find pics now.....

I agree 100%... you need to lift weights! Watch the calories and lift... you will not get huge so don't even say that.
 
no not a workout routine....i know that some competitions make you do a routine....i just want to pose....is there such a thing...i thought it was called just a figure competition
 
not much.....i go to the gym a lot but mostly do cardio.....any comments on my form as of now...i know i dont have a lot of muscle but is it an okay base to work with? honesty please
 
Your base is fine. I'm not quite sure what you're asking though. Are you wanting a posing routine to just do posing or are you wanting to actually compete in a figure competition?

If you want to compete, then I'll be honest and say you have a lot of work cut out for you as figure competitions are very grueling to get in shape for. I have a good friend that finally "retired" from doing pagents and figure competitions and it hurt me just watching her go through what she went through.
 
lol im not sure if I KNOW what im asking...okay well i did some research and i saw that some shows require you to do a routine where you show how strong you are and some shows just require you to pose...meaning go out....turn to the side, show your back....without doing a routine where you do splits and high kicks...am i right or did i misunderstand........what i am looking for is options....i would like to get in shape and recieve some recognition for it...do something with myself...i would love to have proffesional pictures taken and even attempt to get into fitness magazine..i know this dreams are high hopes but they are my dreams.....is it possible to be a fitness model without competing....that is my MAIN question......
