So your saying that during the summer (when I'm gonna get like 10-12 hours of sleep alot :) ) with the maximum resting and if I eat tons of food that I could do like 20 sets of squat and Bench press and progress?

I have a cold. Must be overtraining!

I have a constant and consistant complication with: ROCK-ON-idis.

Overtraining must be Drillen the Willen, and really Grillen the Chillen.

also, you can do too much training to improve and not overtrain. for example if I do in to the gym and do 20 sets of squat bench row (like 10 reps or so) every day for x amount of time I probably won't have very good gains, but I'll probably stop doing way before I actually come to the point of overtraining because my body will be screaming at me to calm down.
 
People tend to overanalyse training as a whole. If you're lifting heavy, eating a lot and getting a decent level of sleep you'll make gains. It's pretty simple really. I think people should think less about overtraining and more about injury prevention and getting their training balanced
 
I've decided I was wrong about overtraining. I had my high school students do a test of 50 push ups, 50 crunches, 10 chins, and a 1.5 mile jog. They all told me they were overtrained after that.
