Fitness after 4

Boy do I feel tired today, got up late at 8:30 and felt like I could sleep another couple of hours. I only ran 2 miles last night as it was 9:30pm before I could get started and it creeps me out to run in the pitch dark. However since I lifted yesterday it was ok. Here is my food for the day:

B: grapenuts, coffee 210
S: banana 100
L: tuna with olives and cucumbers 280
S: low fat yogurt 100
D: Chicken, rice, veggies (stir fry mix) 380
S: Chocolate chip cookie and 1/2 glass of milk 200

Total 1270
 
Yesterday was a bust. I didn't run like I wanted too, since we took the kids school shopping. I ate breakfast and lunch at home, but dinner at the Outback. Even with behaving I know the calories were high. Then I through in the towel and had some baked tortillas and cheese in the evening. I guiess I have had my cheat for the next month.

sweet potato with butter 400?

Total: 1820 calories Oh my!

Now that I survived my circus act I am doing better. Today I have ate very nutritiosly. I weighed in today at 137, down 1.5 lbs from last week! I think I will measure myself tomorrow just to see what I have lost in that measure or maybe even gained.
 
Here are my stats:

8/7/06

bicep: 11 inches
chest: 36 inches
waist: 29 inches
hips: 37 inches
thigh: 22 inches
calf: 13.5 inches

8/21/06

bicep: 10 3/4 inches lost 1/4 inch
chest: 36 inches no change
waist: 28 inches lost 1 inch
hips: 37 inches no change
thigh: 21 inches lost 1 inch
calf: 13 3/4 inches gained 1/4 inch

Total weight loss 4 pounds in 3 weeks. I wish it would go faster, but I think it is healthier this way. I am loosing 1.5 pounds a week. I plan to get my weight down to 128lbs and go from there. That is what I weighed before my last baby was born, it was a good weight for me. I wouldn't mind weighing more if it was muscle, so time will tell. I guess I'll see how I feel when I get there. At this rate it will only take about 6 weeks or so. My clothes are already fitting better and I think I might make it back into a size 6! Right now the size 6buttons, but a lttle snugger than I like.

Last night I ran 4.5 miles and it felt great. I at well, although I think I came in low calorie wise. My husband will be in Asia for two weeks in September, so if anyone reading knows a good cardio DVD I am open to suggestions as I can't leave my kiddos to run :-( My husband has been trying to be more fit as well and he has lost 9 lbs in the last 3 weeks!

Well let's see. I did well today. Yestaerday was rough in the evening. I came back from running starved and didn't make very good choices. I will definately work on that. I agree with Dabble that 100o calories was a little low. Here is the rund down for today so far:
B: one slice raisen toast with teaspoon of light cream cheese, coffee 180
S: Worked through, forgot to bring anything to work with me, need to remember that.
Lunch: Grilled chicken with lettuce, one tablespoon of dressing 250, 1/4 cheese stick 100 calories
Snack: one teaspoon of pb with two large pretzels 80calories, light yogurt 100 calories
D: spaghetti with two meatballs, homeade, lean meat and measured one serving of spaghetti 350
S: Planning on cheesestick. 100 calories

total: 1270

I will run tonight and lift in the morning.

I really need to plan better as I will be back to work (teach) in 12 days and my life will get crazy. My kids started back today, so I only have my little one at home. They had a blast, they are growing up too fast.

Thanks for the encouragement so far. I just need to keep focus.
 
Doing well, sticking right around 1300 calories. Weighed myself today and I am at 136, down another pound. I am gradually getting where I want to be. I have lost a total of 8 pounds, 5lbs of which I have lost since starting my diary. I am rapidly approaching a very busy time for me and I plan to stay on track. Right now my goal is 128 lbs, which is what I weighed in my twenties. I am more concerned with how I look though, so I will likely change that goal and add some muscle later on. Off for my run.
 
Okay, I am so excited:eek: . I met a personal running goal. I ran 5 miles in 50 minutes WOOOHOOOO:D . I am so happy with that. The furthest I had ever run was 4 miles. I don't think I have ever persued running long enough to do this well. I realize it isn't that fast but I am so shocked I pulled it off. I run outside so the terrain varies. I actually clocked the mileage with my car just to be sure I had estimated the distance right. One half mile of this run is on a moderate grade hill and I made it up the hill and caught my time up on the way back. I can't believe I didn't kill myself :cool: lolol I am also doing well with my eating plan and I am very pleased with my progress. Started back to work today after my summer off on a very high note!:p
 
Feeling tired yesterday and today. It is definately harder to cram things in right now. Food wise i blew it yesterday. Today is another day I guess, and I am doing a little better. However it is my dad's birthday and the cake isn't really the best choice, but as you all know I will have it anyway. Planning to lift tonight, ran yesterday.
 
Yesterday I ran 5 miles and it felt great. Nutrition wasn't the best this weekend, but Monday and Tuesday were much better. Hopefully things will settle down and it will be easier this wekk.

Okay, so I have survived my first week back to school. I have maintained my weight, but not lost anymore as I got a little off track. I only managed to exercise three days last week and my nutrition wasn't the best. Some of my weight could be fluid as I weighed myself two days ago and was at 134, so either I am retaining today or was dehydrated then, who knows. I currently weigh 136 lbs, which is what I weighed when classes started. I feel really bad that I have not progressed and it is no one's fault but my own. SO I guess it is off to another week and this time I will stay on track if it kills me.

I think the biggest thing I need is a new set of 6 week goals. I work better it that time frame, I guess it corresponds with Crisis Theory lol. When I get back tonight I will jot them down.
 
Here is my plan for this week:
Sunday: Lower body -did it ;-)
Monday: Cardio
Tuesday Upper body
Wednesday: Cardio
Thursday Lower body
Friday: Cardio
Saturday: Day off, skating party for my twins.
Sunday: Upper body

I will stick to this if it kills me. Cardio is either running 5 miles, or various workout CD's.

Nutrition wise I'm going shopping today and I will make sure I have things for work. I forgot snacks last week, not good!
