Fit by 60! - TomO's Pledge

Thursday, July 26, 2007

hey tom just droppin by to say hi! oh and happy birthday, oh and congrats on the 200 mark!

Hi, RJ! Good to see you around, and thanks!
-------------------------------------------------

Well, yesterday was a "feed the beast" day of sorts. I gobbled up almost 3,000 calories and didn't work out. I worked past midnight the previous night, then couldn't sleep very well, and felt totally tired out the whole day. I'd work some, then take a nap, then work some, take a nap. On top of that, I had to go down to my company's headquarters for a meeting and an anniversary celebration, where I succumbed to a delicious piece of chocolate mousse cake. By 6 at night, I finally felt alert again, and worked for another few hours.

Anyway, today I feel much more normal. I'm going back to squats and deads today, since it's Weights 2 day, but I may not push it quite as much.

A year ago, when I was just starting, a day like yesterday would have freaked me out. I would have considered it a major failing. Today, no big deal. If I take the last two days together, I still have an average 300 calorie deficit.

My weight of today, 224.4, may be where Round 7 is really starting. That would be excellent, since that's quite a bit lower than I expected to be by the end of July. We'll see. . .

Yesterday's stats:

Food: 2,995 calories
Fat: 136 gm, 40%; Saturated 28 gm, 8%
Carbs: 344 gm, 43%; 45 gm fiber
Protein: 112 gm, 14%
Alcohol: 10 gm, 2%

NARM: 2,297 c
Exercise: 0 c
Surplus for the day: 698 c
Surplus for the month: 12,451 c

I think its great that you are able to relax in the process and know that its not an "all or nothing" venture...its an ebb and flow...I strive for that balance, but I still find at times that I am overcome with feelings of I "HAVE TO" do this or that...meet a weight goal or excercise a certain amount...and that is just not always how life is. I do much better when I am relaxed and content than I do when I stress about it.

Hope you are having a good day! :)

Good thing I'm getting a fairing installed on my bike!

That would be the scariest, and shortest, bike ride of your life. :D

LMAO!!! Steve called you a WUSS! HAHAHAH now isn't that funny from somebody who would be sitting on the handlebars. LOL LOL Who would the woos be in that scenerio. LOL Too FUNNY!! you boys crack me up!!

LOL, I suppose we could get a tandem bike and share the load. I guess that would look pretty gay. . . not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

Tom,
Thank you for stopping by in my journal. If I can keep a quarter of the stats you keep I would consider is a success. I am trying to do better though.

David
