If you promise to take me to one of those saunas with the back rubs, I'll do it!

The museum sounds like a wonderful way to relax and wind down! I say go for dessert, but just share a dessert...that way you can indulge your sweet tooth without a full helping of guilt! :D

Well, we're going to a restaurant called Citizen Cake. They have great main dishes, but they're known for -- cake! Maybe we'll share 2 pieces amongst the three of us.

Yeah...great plan! There is restaurant here that has great desserts and my former employer would take the 6 of us there for lunch. we would get one of each of the three desserts and share bits of each.

Life it too short to skimp on the good things. For me that includes the occassional drink, desert, or sweet. The trick is moderation. I think people who eat naughty things in moderation have an easier time than those who try and cut them out completely. It sounds like you have the right idea.

Well, I do have some Heugenot blood in me, along with lots of Polish, Scottish, German, and Mohawk. Since I'm half Polish, and my wife is Filipino, we call our kids Polipinos.

HA HA that's great!! Hey did you know I'm 1/4 Acoma Pueblo Indian? 1/4 Mexican, and then 1/2 white--Scottish, Slav and Welch. Mutts are in, man!

Buddy, you ever get out this way and I will show you a great old time, including the sauna, however, you may never want to leave!!!

My mom came out in Feb for Chinese New Years and she misses the foot massage a lot! In the complex I live in the local foot massage place (no sauna, but thats ok) offers 90 minute foot massage (with shoulders thrown in for free) for 25 rmb, about 3 bucks........ Who wouldnt want to walk or run for miles knowing a foot soak and massage is 3 bucks afterwards?

Today I finally reached the 250's for the first time since I was a wrestler!!!! Sauna tonight for me!!!

We had a wonderful trip to SF. We actually finished all the furniture we wanted to build. My son and I worked our asses off on the roof, while Marlene kept us well fed, ran errands to the store for hardware we forgot, and gave us general moral support. It was a real team effort, and my son was really thrilled with the results.

Thursday, after working 10 hours, we went to eat dinner at a little Italian restaurant. We were so hungry we ate two baskets of garlic bread. I had shrimps with white sause, caesar salad, and a yummy dessert. I guess the meal was around 4,000 calories, but who's counting. Yesterday morning, we left SF at 7am and stopped in LA in the afternoon to see out daughter, who's 23. She's just becoming independent, hates being poor, and has a great job that she's doing well with. She's got some new business ideas and may be able to get some investors for them. She took us to an unbelievable Japanese restaurant, where I had the best sushi I've ever had in my life.

Overall on the trip, I really forgot about calories. I indulged myself eating almost whatever I wanted, including cookies, pastries, etc. However, because of the hard work we were doing, I didn't gain any weight.

My weight this morning: 239.8! Yes, I'm HAPPY about that!

Today it's back to the gym. I was going to wait until Monday, but I slept 9 hours last night, I'm not sore anymore, and I'm missing my regular exercise program. Besides I'm anxious to start the new 18 day protocol Steve and I worked out.

Did my measurements today as well.

Body fat: 26.3%
Pulse: 55
Waist (belly button): 41.0 (down 1/2" from last week!)
Neck: 17.1" (no change)
Thigh: 26" (no change)
Calves: 17" (up 0.5", probably a measurement error)
Chest: 44" (no change)
Hips: 43" (no change)

Good news on the scales Tom!

Your "holiday" sounds terrific!! :)

You have really given your routine a good shake up though and I bet your knew programme starts paying off well.

Your holiday sounds perfect. Sometimes indulging is such a great thing. You worked hard, had a great time, and didn't gain any weight. Have a great Easter.

Hi Tom,
It sounds like a FANTASTIC trip to visit your son! You guys accomplished a lot in a short time!

Glad you're back, and you know I've been thinking about your measurements, and the last time too, that you're not that big of a guy, if your waist is 41".
I think you're hot now but you're just getting better and better (read Hotter and Hotter) because of all the effort you put in to your life. I'm so glad you're part of WLF.
