Wow! I remember when your weight was sticking at 229, so now you're actually almost out of the 220's, great job Tommie :)!

AAARRRGGGHHHH! Yesterday, on the second set of my squats, I pulled out my back again. I had upped the pounds to 205, which was a modest increase, my form was good, and I felt good. Then, on the way up, I felt my back go out. I barely was able to get the bar reracked, and I knew my workout was over. I put ice on it and took ibuprofen, but this morning it's still sore as hell.

This is the second time in 4 months I've screwed up my back. Before this, I didn't mess up my back for 10 years. I love doing squats and deadlifts, but this is really bumming me out. Maybe I'm too old for the weights I'm doing. . . I don't know. I'll see what Coach Steve has to say.

Weight this morning went up to 223.6. I knew yesterday was merely a tease from the Scale Gods. But this weight isn't bad either. Just 33 days ago I was at 229.4.

Yesterday's stats:
Food: 2,275 calories
Fat: 96 gm, 37%; 16 gm saturated, 6%
Carbs: 264 gm, 44%; fiber 45 gm
Protein: 111 gm, 19%
Alcohol: 0

NARM: 2,292 c
Exercise: 100 c
Daily Deficit: 117 c
 
Wow Tom, sorry about the back! I don't know why but that's always one of my bigger concerns...only with dls rather than squats ...having something funky happen with my back that'll throw me out of commission. Really hope you get that resolved soon!
 
I am so sorry to hear about your back. mine has been going during our move and not only is it painful, it is dang inconvinient!! Hope you get better soon!
 
Jeremy, Beth & Mechelle - thanks for your well wishes. I'm going to try and do my cardio today, but no more lifting this week, that's for sure. Right now, I feel like a 60 year old man. Wait! I am a 60 year old man. Make that an 80 year old man! :(

You look good for 60! Maybe would even pass for 45ish judging by your picture!!:)
