First Time Dieter

I have never tried to lose weight before, but after a recent weight gain, I've decided that now is the time. I am 18 years old, 6 foot, and weigh about 165 pounds. I would like to lose around 15 pounds to get down to 150. I am going to play college volleyball next fall and would like to be in the best shape I possibly can be. What should I be eating? Also, if I want to be faster on the court, what type of exercise should I be doing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Hi! Can you tell us a little baout your current diet and maybe we can recommend some changes? It's important that you eat lots of small meals throughout the day. I recommend at least 6 meals a day for most people. Try to combine lean proteins and complex carbs in each meal. Try to eat as many unprocessed foods as you can. Eating foods that are as close to their natural state is best. Limit sugar and saturdated fats. And drink your water. Water keeps everything running smoothly. :) Let me know if I can help any more.
