First Post...Need Opinion on Either Lose More Fat? or Start Gaining Muscles?

hey guys..>

I am a new member, this is my first post, so i thought i start by showing what i look like, so u guys can have an idea of what i should be working on....

I really would like a solid 6 pack, but i read somewhere that i have to lose ALOT of body fat percentage in order to be able to see it....but alot of people already said I am getting too skinny....so the question of this post is in the title....

Should i Lose More Fat and Lower my BF%? or Should I Start Gaining Muscles and Go Through A Bulking Phase?

here is my work out...

cardio at least half an hour everyday (station cycling) high intensity but low resistance settings

weight train for 45-60 minutes after cardio, Mon/Wed/Fri - Biceps, Abdominals, Shoulders. Tues/Thurs/Sat - Triceps, Chest, Legs.

then i work for 8 hours (office work, high stress)

then i come home and box (heavybag) for half an hour to an hour, with warm rope jumping to warm up....etc..

last little bit of background: i am 5'11....and 190 pounds 2 months ago...i weighed myself again about 2 weeks ago and I am at 145 pounds :confused:

i have a clean meal plan, oatmills, eggs (with the yoke), sandwiches (whole grain home made), chicken burgers (high protein low cal)....etc....and i eat normally...

anyways here are some pictures i took today....pls take a look and let me know what i should be working on...

I would Def start a bulking phase.

yeah dont ask me....

i went through a stressful personal even 2 months ago...and started working out the day it happened....and kept a clean diet....

i think thats one of the reason why my friends are asking questions...

when you guys say bulk....care to explain?

i mean i still have a lil bit of fat on my belly...i have no idea what my BF% is...i would said probably like 13% or something....

but i really want nice set of abs....so anyways any more advice?
 
Depends on your priorities really. If you desperately want to see those abs and your BF% is currently 13%, if you cut another 3% or so, you will have some awesome definition. Then you can bulk knowing that the abs are attainable once you've gained some size - this is basically my plan. I'll bulk after the summer.

Putting on weight, and a lot of it. Good weight if possible, of course. You'll probably put on a little fat too, but not much to worry about. You need to up the calories a ton, be eating consistently, and be eating well getting a nice balance going.

I'v put on about 10 pounds in a month, but I had lost five when I was sick at the beginning of April. So go start eating!

few questions...

wouldn't bulking up take away whatever i have on my abs right now??

and i havn't gotten an official measurement of my BF%...what do u guys think my BF% would approx be? just by looking at my pictures...

and how do i get those killer abs everyone is dying for? lol
 
Muscle, start working your chest and back. It also looks like your shoulders are rounding forward.

Post a picture of you standing naturally and I'll be able to tell better. Otherwise, you definately need to work your chest and back because your arms look disproportionate to your torso.
 
here is me standing naturally, no flex no bend no nothing...

and a sideview....as ya'll can see i have a lil bulge at the lower part of my stomach...need to get rid of that...hehe

thats why i keep thinking i still need to lower my BF% for my abs to show some definition....i dunno some advice and opinion would be appreciated! thanks! anyways im off for a late night run!
