Finding my old skinny self

I thought I would start this to help me stay on track. I am 24, and 5'4. My highest weight was 194 (before I got married I was around 125). I tried to get my weight under control and lost about 8-10 lbs. Then the holidays came around and I got back up to 189. I am sick of being the chubby one, the one that can't quite fit into the cute clothes. My family also has a terrible history of heart problems. That's one family tradition I want no part in!

So here's the plan: 1350 to 1400 Calories a day (I checked out my BMR for my goal weight) I have a exercise bike I am riding. I am trying to work up to an hour a day. I also have some hand weights and bands to use for some resistance. I bought the turbo jam workout but it hasn't arrived yet. I am so excited about that. (I never thought I would say that about a workout!) I've been following this plan since the beginning of the month and I have already lost 5.6 lbs. I am so pumped about get back in shape. :hurray:

Well I have rambled on long enough for now!!!

Depressed!!

So my mom called me this morning and the dog I got in high school died last night. She lived with them b/c when I was in college (and couldn't have pets in the dorm) Greta got really attached to my dad. Greta never could handle change very well; that's why I left her there when I got married and moved away. She got sick Wednesday night and died during the night last night.:angelsad2: I get way too attached to animals.

On a lighter note, I got my turbo jam in and I have done that twice. I really like it even though I'm really bad at it. I can really tell it is working. I can even get my husband to do the video with me! (he's better at it than I am too)
