Cerella, I should have checked your ticker but how much weight have you lost again and how did you do it if you were not counting calories?

I am thinking about plateaus and wondering if we're on one or if we've just been slacking in the food department, but I don't think I've done that badly.

Maybe your body (and mine) is readjusting due to the weight loss. We have lost a significant amount of weight.

Hello Cerella, Sorry to hear about your kitty. I know how hard it is to lose a animal we lost 4 in a period of about 9 months. We had lost 2 rabbits and a dog last summer with the crazy heatwave we had then in feb 07 we lost another rabbit so things were crazy for a while. My son really didn't understand that they died just that we didn't have them anymore and knew that we could only see them in pictures that we have of them now instead of being able to pet them. Anyways I am sorry about your cat.

Its great that you still worked out today inspite of losing a kitty.

Hope tomorrow goes great for you and keep up the good work. All the exercise you put in is really a great inspiration to me to step up my exercise.

Thanx gals for all your warm wishes and sweetness...

Kelly - I have lost 32 lbs...Was at my highest of 240 and now I am 208...well 209.4 to be exact this mornings weight in...so I can be back to 208 in a day or two...

Yes it does sound like a crazy amount nad I dont even think I was eating that much before...maybe 1800 on a bad day...

Im going to the doc tonight if i can get in or tomorrow for sure - I need to get some stuff done to complete my hiring package...Im gonna ask him to relook at my thyroid and to do it as thorough as he can - with all i have been doing I should be loosing weight...

I was worried abt tranfering jobs for the physucal benefit of the cleanign job but I can see this job helpin me loose and I can also see myself gettin below 200 as I wont be as crazy on the go and hungry all the time...here's hopin

Felici - I am a Residential Community Support Worker...I aid and assist the developemently disabled in independant living

sounds like youve got a really rewarding job Cerella!! Thats great to hear!!

You are SOOO close to Onderland!!! I can't wait for us both to get there!!!!

Thanks for the info Cerella. That does sound similar to Social Training, so I guess I must have seen a relevant post at some stage.

I'm glad you can see the new job might be helpful with your weight loss. I can imagine that feeling more satisfied with one part of your life could help you deal even better with other parts of it.

Good Afternoon friend, sorry to hear about your kitty!! that's going to be very hard to break to your kiddo. I admire you as you work with the developmentally disabled, and that is hard, hard work. My hubby has worked with them for almost 20 years now. KUDDO'S to you, it takes a HUGE HEARTED PERSON to do that, and I so admire those who do. ****ahhhh, Kim sit's in admiration of one great lady!*****
Have a good rest of your day! :jump: :)
Kim

Hey cerella hope your day goes well tomorrow and sounds like you got quite a bit of a workout even if it was informal workout.. i know my workout tomorrow may be informal too since i plan on raking up the backyard and cleaning on ds pool and maybe trimming some of the branches on our trees in the backyard while alex plays out back on his toys. before his nap and stuff. I have a pretty busy day planned for tomorrow. lol

hope you have a great day and keep up the good work. 32 lbs is a great accomplishment so far and you'll reach your goal eventually as we both know it won't get done overnight although we can dream though.

Losing animals is so sad. I just got back my baby's cremated remains yesterday and I cried. I had my dog for 10 years and she stuck with me through so much.

It is a good idea about checking your thyroid. That can definitely completely stall weightloss.

Why not ask for help in the Harsh Truth section? I think Leigh P. has really gotten Sara's (Lukewarm) weight going from the plan she put her on. At this point I would definitely take a scientific approach to this. Obviously just cutting back on our eating and working out more is not working like its SUPPOSED to. Well you'd think that's all it takes, right? I have some ideas on what I'd suggest for you to try, but I'd be curious what the so-called experts in HT think.

^^^I second that. I'm going to finally start the weight training thingy Steve gave me, we'll see how that affects everything.

I'm so sorry about your kitty :(

Cinder, I hope your day is a good one!! I just wanted to stop by early and say "hey". And yard work, DOES BURN CALORIES, don't kid yourself. It may not be 300 an hour, but it is up there, if your moving around non stop. Great job!! I hope you have a fab weekend too. Take care!
Kim

yard work counts as exercise to me! burning calories & making life look better, sounds like double duty!

Hope your day goes great today.

Howdy Cerella,
Are you nutts gal yard work is a gr8 workout I swear it kicked my butt the last time I did it!I was moving and stacking bricks pulling weeds picking up all the toys in the grass so I can moe the frass and it was 90 degrees and I was sweating like a pig and out of breath lol geeeeshI haven't done it for 2 months thats how much I HATE yard work lol.
