Ive been a member since 2007 but never really posted anything. This year I want to meet my goal weight and actually finish something for once. I've lost about 30 lbs in 1 years but this year I want to reach my goal weight of 140lbs. Its really hard for me cause Im a chef and around food all the time, but I can do it. My highest weight was last year at 204lbs im 5'8 and I currently weigh 171 lbs. I really need motivation right now and need to be around people that I can relate to.

You look fabulous!!

I would LOVE to be a chef! It was always one of my secret dreams! (I'm also totally obsessed with Top Chef!! :)

I can imagine it would be hard to be around food all day, and not want to taste it :) But you can do it! Look at what you've already accomplished! You look amazing! And you should be so proud of yourself! And just think, since you know all about food, and the combinations, you can make extra delicious health meals :)

I hope you keep up with the diary- I would love to see your progress! I am where you were a year ago, and I would love to lose 50 lbs! You're an inspiration :)

Good luck!!

You look increadible!!! You've done so well you KNOW you can reach your goal. You're half way there!!! There are so many people here who are on such long journeys of their own and we are all here to help you. I'm down 30 pounds, 76 more to go. If I can do this, you can too. You've found a great resource here and a community of such helpful people. List your motivations and set some intermediate goals. Mix up your exercise routine and do some interval training. Make meal plans every day around x calories and certain percentages of protein, fat, and carbs. That really helps me to plan out the night before for the next day.

You CAN do this, and given your success already, you WILL do this. Congratulations and let us know if we can help in any way!!!!

Thanks guys for all the words of encouragement.... Sometimes it is really tough because there are so many distractions and temptations but with so many resources out there I can do it!

Hey! You look great so far. And I think I can relate a small bit to the being a chef thing, because I'm a hostess at a Fondue restaurant. Part of the hostess ob for me is to arrange all the plates and take food upstars and stuff, and were allowed to eat whatever we want. Then the chef always screws up a chocolate or two and if you dont eat them, they get thrown out. it is extremely difficvult not to just chow down on all those chocolate plates and all the rice krispies and marshmallows and cake and stuff that I put on the plates. Ughhh. Wish you the best of luck though!! :) <3

Hope everything is going well! I used to work at a restaurant and I would have dessert so its hard to say no if its free and yummy

I weight train 2 days a week, and try to get in as much cardio as I can, but because of my work schedule sometimes it can be quite challenging.
