Finally got the guts to do this...

Well, this is very hard for me to do because of the poor body image I have always had - but I think it will help me stick with my journey.

I started on November 2, 2007 - but didn't start taking pictures until Dec 30th. So, I've posted my pics here with 3 months in and 16 lbs gone.

At first, I didn't see much of a difference, but when I placed the pictures side by side, I do notice a difference in my face - my shorts are looser, and my back fat..blechh..is going away. I do notice a little bit of a difference in the side view, but when you work hard, you wanna see better results.

Please excuse the face shots...au natural..no makeup..first thing in the morning..hehe..I'll just have to get all dolled up for my final after pics - will post more on the last day of February.

Please be easy on me...this is so embarrassing - oh the anxiety leading up to hitting Submit New Thread...ahhhhhhhh :blush5:

Hi Miss Blonde I think your very brave doing that but I shouldn't worry, there must of been lots of people like yourself with before and after pictures.

All you need to think about is becoming the new thinner you and just focus your energy on that who cares what anyone thinks, you'll be thin soon keep up the good work.:

:hat:

Bravery not needed - you're smile is great...

Are you taking measurements? If you aren't - do so now -because those will definitely show you differences... they are evident in the pictures...but the real proof is always in the numbers.

Look forward to February's update :)

Are you taking measurements?

Yes!! I started taking them on 11/28 - and since then, I have lost 1/2 in from my upper arms, 3 inches from my chest (I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing..hehe), 1.5 inches from my waist and 2.25 inches from my lower stomach/hips - the measurements are what has really kept me motivated because the scale isn't always my friend..lol.

Its just weird how self conscious I am about my pics..I mean I have them saved under a different user name on my computer with a password so that my boyfriend won't even see them. It was funny last night because he said to me..what's the point in hiding them? I see you naked every day!

Guess I just feel better if he's not staring at the pics analyzing them..even though I know he wouldn't.

I'm a work in progress with the end in mind! Baby steps - that's how I look at it.

Thanks for the compliment on the smile!

GREAT progress in the face there miss!!! Looking forward to seeing more of your plan in action and the results.

And the self consciousness issues is a problem for most people (myself included) while making this transition... I have the added problem of being ugly as well, which leads to all sorts of emotional issues ;)

YAY for you! You can really tell in your pictures that everything is shrinking! You look awesome! Keep up the awesome work! And by the way...you don't need make-up. You are very pretty!

Sweetheart, it's a fantastic progress. I really mean it. Generally, 1 month is very short space of time for a real visual change but you are absolute exception. Please, keep up the good job! You will be amazed of yourself! :hurray:

Thank you so much...it really helps hearing someone else notice..sometimes I think I stare at the pictures too long trying to find a difference..lol. I feel better, and clothes are fitting better, so I can't wait until the end of this month to compare pictures then! Thanks again! :blush5:

I love how people's eyes look so much bigger and brighter when they lose some of that extra fat on the face. Face shots are my favorite part cause its like.........ooooh, so that's what I really look like :)

You are doing great!

That is because you are crazy! I see that you've gotten smaller everywhere. Everywhere. Even your fingers.

P.S. Visual math is my specialty. :D

Haha..I don't know how I missed this, but I just went back through the posts and saw it...the visual math comment is great!
:rotflmao:

:hurray: Way 2 go, girlie! You are nearly at the 20 lb mark, and that is really significant! Lookin' good, and you'll be even better soon! Keep it up.

Cheers
ABBA

I'm sorry, but for no-make up, you look pretty darn good in the morning. I wish I could wake up so flush and rosey-cheeked. Instead I have hair like Chewbacca and it sticks to the saliva that's dried on my face. Okay, TMI, I know. I'll refrain.

Anyway, congrats on all that you've accomplished so far!! I'm proud of you!! I can definately see a difference in the pictures. It's only a month and already, you're slimming. Just keep doing this, and keep us updated.

And I can promise you everyone on this board has self-esteem issues. If nothing else, it's what we ALL have in common. If we didn't, we wouldn't be here, would we? We're all here because we're going through the same thing. I can gurantee you, the people on here are the least judgemental people we'll ever know. That's why I like it here. Everyone cares. That's rare nowadays on forums. It's my belief that everyone here is more humaine and compassionate, because we're all rooted in the same physical and emotional frustrations. This board comforts me. It's like a feather pillow that you never have to fluff.
