Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

*passes mine and Laura's essays to SoCo and Tigs*

Thanks for stopping by Spark!! I'll send ya some virtual crumpets ;)

I'm about 1/3 of the way through it. It's just my media essay and I hate that I'm doing media with my English degree. It's so dull.

Anywhoo.

I'm starvinggggg. Ate my lunch too early I think. Or just sitting at home writing an essay has given me the bored hunger! I'm not hungry enough that my tummy is making noises so I'm gonna drink some tea and try and hold out til dinner.
Just annoying as I have work between 6-8 so can't really eat before and by the time I get home at 830 I'm so hungry I can hardly wait for the damn thing to cook!!

Why don't you fill up on veggies? That should help and pretty low in calories. I buy these frozen veggies, red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, and a couple other veggies and its steamed in the bag with a ltitle olive oil. Its great.

I love carrots also....broccoli is also good steamed. Or try a high fiber food like some yam..

Very good idea :D I'll remember that tomorrow when I'm hungry as just about to have dinner now!!

Off-topic:

For all those who want updates on redpiggy I've posted in her diary but in case people miss hers and see here instead: Just got a text from her and she's out of surgery and back on the ward now. Feeling okay, just tired and on lots of lovely drugs!

I was thinking about you yesterday. My son's girlfriend was nursing a hangover and fancied crumpets but the shop that sells them was shut so I told her if she could wait a couple of hours I would make her some. They turned out great. Not quite as thick as shop bought ones but even more delicious. :)
If you ever come to Mallorca I'll make you some :D

I've never even considered making crumpets! Don't they grow on trees? You mean you can actually make them?!?! All those times I've run out and I could have done something about it!
*wails*

I have made them quite a few time but this was the best they have ever turned out. You can't get them in a hurry as they are made with yeast and needs to be left to rise. I have a bread making machine so it just means putting the ingredients in and leaving it for an hour and a half and then dropping spoonfulls onto a hot plate. The smell is wonderful while they are cooking. :)

Hmmmm.... You guys are making my mouth water and stomach growl - and I've never even tasted a crumpet!!!

I think I'd be too impatient to wait for them to cook! They do sound delicious, though--I'm very tempted! I'm rubbish at baking though!

Crumpets are the food of the gods! Still need to try them with honey!

Today should be a goodish day. Slept in late as I have a night shift tonight so food wont be too bad as long as I get healthy snacks for night shift. :piggy:

All these crumpets. Hmm, now I've finally got my grill fixed in the oven I think I might have to treat myself to one or two at the weekend. Best buy a small pack, if I get a pack of six they won't last long!

Good luck getting your essays finished!

Thanks dude :) I do love my crumpets! I may turn into one. Must eat like 12 a week. At least. Don't usually have with butter though so they aren't too bad for me!

i wonder if your crumpets are the same as the ones we have here in the land of aus? are they yellow and look a bit like a sponge, either round or square? thats what ours look like and they are best grilled with butter, but i dont have them often, used to when i was younger though :)
