Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

Afternoon everyone! I thought it was about time to start a new diary..I've had the same one since I joined in Jan of this year and whilst I'm very proud of going from obese to normal in 8 months, I feel that since I started my new job progress has been slow and I've lost the desire to fight the flab! My old diary is called : "Put that down, fatty!"

For those who don't know me, I'm Hana or Sunflower! I started my journey at 202lbs and have been lingering around the 170 mark for the last month or so. It's driving me insane! I'm now normal for my height (5'10!) so whilst I'm pleased with how well I've done I'd like to drop down to about 160 and see how my body looks round there :)

I work around 50 hours a week (70 with travel) so eating well is very hard as I get home from work at 11pm or so and want a big dinner *right* before bed which is a bad idea! My 21st birthday on the 7th and I'd love to get back into the swing of things again by then so I can start my 21st year in a healthy way!

Here are some photo's of me at my biggest and how I am now :) The first 3 are from my 20th birthday, my VERY biggest weight ( think I was more like 210 in the others!) and the last two from a holiday a few weeks ago!

Hoping to check back in here weekly until the 20th of September and then I drop back to part-time and start Uni so will have much more free time for you lovely people! Wont be writing down all my food as I know I eat right because I maintain my weight--I'm just going to do smaller portions and less cheese ;)

Thanks for reading! :piggy:

Also, I found these yogs called "Nom" yogs and I've fallen in love with them. Everybody hunt them down and eat them all day every day. They're even good for you!

Thank you very much! I can see the changes in my body in photos but it's not translating to the mirror for me just yet! Need to drop those last pesky pounds!!

In other good news: I'm a size 10/12 in UK size :D Not sure what that is for you states people but in the UK ours goes 6/8/10/12/14 etc, 6 being the smallest so I'm VERY happy! All of my clothes are a 10 on top and a 12 on bottoms :D So that's one goal smashed! I would have been happy as a 12 all over!

I saw my friend from WW for the first time in like 2 months last week in town and she is SO skinny. We were same height/weight when we started and I could tell she was looking me up and down to see how I'd done and I couldnt help but feel like.."wow, she looks much smaller than me." BUT, she only works 10 hours a week and goes to the gym 5 times a week because she has the time..So I've tried to be happy for her and stop being jealous. :ack2:

Heyya Sunny!!

Great to find your new diary.

Also, I loved the pics you posted....specially the last one on the path. The perspective of the smaller shrubs makes you look like a giant! Yikes!! Grab yer pitchforks and yer torches!!!
(But you do look smashing!)

Well done and good luck on the rest of your journey! I'm sure you are gonna have your pic on the Weight Loss Forum Wall of Fame someday!

Take care!!

You look great! Thats how I want to look but I can't imagine it yet.. How long did this take you and what did you do?

Or maybe I'll go look up you're diary and find out myself ;)

Thanks for posting! Its Awesom!

Awh, thank you so much!! I didn't do anything special, really. Joined a Weight Watchers group and I honestly place all my weight loss on them. The group helped more than anything. Had to get weighed with my group once a week and I lost almost every week because I didnt want to let myself down in front of all those people ;) Plus, they write down all your losses in a little book so you feel *so* proud when you look back and see how far you've come! Weight Watchers makes it harder to fall off the wagon!

Other than that, I joined a gym and went a few times a week and just took my calories down to around 1200. I eat much more than that now but havnt lost anymore weight in ageeees so hoping to get back into my old good habits! Thanks for being so kind and good luck in your journey!

Flumes: One of my nicknames from Yank is "Amazon Woman". :ack2:I'm very used to people commenting on my height ;) Finding jeans that fit my legs is hard!! I adore being tall though. Spesh now I'm smaller. When I was big I felt that I stuck out for all the wrong reasons but now I feel confident and awesome! Yayy for SunnyDee!

So I stayed up late last night and drank too much cider! Managed to leave leftovers from dinner though so that's happy! The scales, on the other hand, are not my friend this morning so I'll be a good girl today and hop back on tomorrow! I swear to god, I've been gaining and losing the same 3 pounds for the last 2 months *rolls eyes*.

Got a day off work today which is awesome! Have to let them know soon how many hours I can do when I go back to Uni. I'm an English student and writing my dissertation this year so, as much as I want the money, I know it's best not to do more than 10--Although I know they will try and bully me into doing more :leaving: Will have to hang tough!

Going to London for my 21st in a few weeks to stay in a hotel with Yank and see Phantom of the Opera 2 :D Can't wait! Must keep cals down on birthday break! Hopefully I can be 165 by the time school starts if I work super hard!

Right, I'm going to put my sweats on and play Dante's Inferno all day! LOVE HAVING TIME OFF!

P.S. I'm not super lazy, I still do my hour+ of walking every day ;)

I can so relate to the losing and gaining the same couple of pounds over the last couple of months as that is exactly what is happening to me.
You're the same age as my daughter. She has lost over 20 lbs and wants to lose another 10 so I'm going to show her your photos for inspiration. It's very difficult in the summer as we live in Mallorca and as you can imagine the summer social life if very hectic. She'll also be back at Uni next month so will be able to concentrate a bit more on what she eats. Luckily she spends so much time in disco bars so gets lots of exercise dancing so has only put a lb or 2 back on. :D
You have no reason to be jealous of anybody else, you look gorgeous.:)

Looking great Sunflower!! You've made huge progress since January! It's always harder when your not on your regular schedule so I'm sure once school rolls around you will be able to drop those last pounds! Keep it up gorgeous!!!

You look great. sounds like you will be a busy girl, with school AND work starting. i always told myself that working out was my "stress relief" so i ended up looking forward to working out a lot, especially when i was busy. i think it was a good way to trick myself into finding time, especially when busy. lol good luck staying on track :)

eyckmans: It's so frustrating! Hopefully the scales will move soon! Might lower my calories for a few days to try and kick-start the losses again! Hope your daughter does well with her weight loss..the last 10 pounds is the hardest I think!

And thanks, Lisa! I'm hoping once school starts I can focus on myself a little more! I'm getting all my reading done before term starts so I wont have too much on my plate!

Thanks for the support Katie! Working out would be SUCH a treat for me right now--barely have time to anything for myself!

Not much to report today..Not getting on the scales for a few more days as havent made the best choices the last few days so want to wait a while instead of being upset!! Drinking 2-3 litres of water every day so that's good but feel all sloshy all the time!!! :nopity:

Hope everyone is well! Will update when I have anything of value to write down ;) Working til 11pm so will try and update tomorrow! xxxxx

You have made a huge transformation in 8 months! That's awesome, finding my inspiration through photos like yours.

Hey! I was reading some of your earlier blog! Btw I like your titles, they are the amusing titles I wish I'd thought of for mine instead of Blubber the journey lols. Congrats on your weight loss so far, I'm where you are when you started 203, and I'm 5'8 1/2 so similar in height to!

I totally get your feeling about being tall I sometimes feel like a small bus, where I knew if I was like, 5'2 it'd be different! But I figure, once I hot my goal, walking down the street in my 4 inch heels or whatever, I'll be bordering 6 ft, and I can't bloody wait!

Hope you see good numbers at your next weigh in! :)

Awh, thanks guys! Love how supportive you all are :D

Well--I sucked ass this morning and got a McMuffin. But I had it for breakfast and probably wont have lunch because I feel so full of grease. :puke:Badddd choice! Awh well, scales say I'm -0.5lb so that's groovy! Maybe McMuffins are good for you? Maybe it requires further investigation ;)

Off to work again now! Lots of walking! Update tonight! xxx

In other good news, my hours have dropped down to about 25 a week instead of the 50 I was having last week! AWESOME! I actually might have some time to kick some butt and go for a run and stuff! Gym pass has expired and I've barely got enough money for rent (working 50-70 hours a week and STILL not bloody money!!) but hopefully can afford to start again soon! I'm *always* going to be working Tuesday nights so that means I can't ever go to the meeting for WW I used to go to. Figure it's a good opportunity to find a new one though! One in the morning this time so I don't starve all day!:willy_nilly:

Awwwww. So sorry to hear about your troubles kid. Hope you can make ends meet for the time being.

Hugs!

Sorry about the money problems :-( Sounds like you may need that stress relief that working out hard gives. Good luck with everything.

I only started focusing more on getting healthier when I switched jobs (in June). The normal hours give me much more opportunity to think and plan, and I'm much more willing to give up my free time to running when I have a little more free time to spare.

Thanks guys--Feeling better today :)

Got my mum and dad down to stay until tomorrow and they've treated us to meals out and stuff which is LOVELY. Going out again soon for Italian--good job I saved all my calories for dinner, huh!?

Got my new laptop as well! It's beauuutiful and means I can actually fucking type without using a USB keyboard so I'll be on here much more often! You'll never get rid of me :)

In a very good mood ^_^ Got sunflowers in my living room and getting all dressed up to go out tonight :D I may be poor, but at least I'm happy and poor ;)
