Fat Shifting?

I don't know if this is my imagination or not but I'm finding I'm toning up finally seeing results on my lower half...legs etc...but my stomach feels bigger alot more fat around my middle...is that possible?

Holy crap, I've been experiencing the same thing! My calves are more tonned than they have ever been in my life but I swear that I have gained fat on my tummy!

Well my butt and legs are getting there but I feel its almost like squeezed in and shooting up the gut area! ha! if that makes any sense. I haven't gained any weight so I guess that's another point.

To alot of us the fat around stomach area especially lower tummy is hardest to get rid off. Yeah for me it seems to bulge out a bit too. However, the undertone of the fat layer is all firm muscles. I don't think we gain weight ;) Muscle is firmer and less yielding, so I guess it "pushes out" the fat layer on top until it is shed off. Does that make sense?

your stomach isn't getting bigger...the rest of you is getting smaller while the stomach stays the same size since its the last place you lose the fat.

its an illusion that we further perpetuate by being paranoid over not losing weight.

the ONLY other possibility is that you're not training your abs the right way, and thus thickening the muscles in your mid-section, and since the fat isn't shedding there, yet, it does actually increase a little.
