Falco is Fighting the Fat!

Falco quick question( as always from me! :) )

How does the egg whites taste with cottage cheese in them. Im guessing you whip them in and then cook it. Just wondering because i cant stand eating straight cottage cheese...

I never ate the 2 mixed together. I usually just have a bowl of egg whites and a bowl of cottage cheese.

Have you tried natural peanut butter on the cottage cheese. A little splenda and blueberries. Cinnamon. I like mine with a little salt and pepper and a few dashes if vinegar.

Hey there! Thank you, I am trying. I know I have gotten lazy as far as updating my journal.

My diet has been going well, I enjoyed this past weekend though because of my b-day. I hit my cals ok, but the food choices weren't so great. Weight was up on the scale, but that was mainly water and glycogen from the increased carbs over the weekend.

This week the diet has been status quo. I am back on track and eating well. Training is going well. Performed antagonistic sets this week. Monday was 2 sets of 18 with 120secs. rest. Tonight was 2 sets of 8 with 90secs. rest.

Supplements have been the usual fish oil, protein shakes and glutamine.

Thanks for reading.

Diet has been spot on the past 2 days. No meat today, so I had shrimp, scallops, lots of eggs, protein powder and cottage cheese.

Performed 45 minutes of moderate cardio lastnight. Was supposed to hit the weights this evening but a few things came up, so I will get my weights in tomorrow along with some cardio.

Scale stayed the same this week. It was expected since I threw caution to the wind last weekend because of my birthday.

All in all it has been a good week both diet and training. I got 2 more weeks on my current program then I will take a week off to recover and just do some daily moderate cardio.

I have yet to decide what weight routine I am going to jump into. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you Tammy :)

Eating this weekend went well. I did have a little mini carb up for 1 meal on Saturday. I had a couple pieces of pizza. Scaled showed that this morning. I will be back down to normal when I deplete that glycogen from the carbs.

I didn't lift this weekend, but I did perform 45 minutes of moderate cardio both day. Back to the gym tomorrow though.

I am also lowering my calories by 200 from 2400 to 2200 to see what happens. Basically just eating like I have been. All lean protein, fats and tons of veggies with every meal.

Hopefully I will see some good results on weigh in and measurements next Friday.

Fat Loss still the main goal?

Diet pretty much the same the past 2 days. I dropped my cals by 200 and trying to eat leaner meats and getting the majority of my fats from fish oil, EVOO, Safflower oil, Nuts, Seeds and PB. Also trying to eliminate some of the random carbs that add up eat eating a butt load of veggies (spinach, collard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, asparagus and collard greens).

Workout yesterday was 3x18. It was brutal going that many reps. I was toast at the end of my workout. Feel pretty good today, still got a little pump.

Just got done with 45 minutes of moderate cardio. I am going to try to start getting on the treadmill for about 45-60 minutes of low intensity cardio in the mornings before work (5am), but we will see how that goes :D

I'm glad to see everything is well falco..it seems you got determination in your cut, i envy that.

Hey bud, good to see you. I appreciate the encouragement.

As you have seen (I think) in my before pictures, that is one guy I am trying to forget. I feel I cannot truly do that unless I become lean. My diet and training has been good, but I started to fall into the trap of "this won't hurt me". A little sliver of cake here, a few chips there, some rolls now and again. I would put cardio off for a day or cut it 5 minutes short. I would train half ass or just skip legs...

This started to become a habit and it scared the hell out of me. I basically dug out some old clothes and old pics, dug out my "goal" pic and kinda rededicated myself. I had a guy come to me for advice and he wanted me to train him and I accepted. This was probably one of the best things. Because of that, I cannot make excuses. I HAVE to get my ass to the gym to workout and train him. I cannot tell him to eat this and eat that when I am not practicing what I preach. So all in all, it has been going well ever since.

Ok...Sorry about the rant..LOL Thanks for stopping by man. Best of luck to you.

Felt good today. Had a lot of energy and my diet was spot on. Still got a cup of cottage cheese before bed..MMMMM

Workout tonight was 3x8. I felt really strong and it showed in my lifts. Got a good pump and felt really well afterwards. I did not get up at 5am for cardio today  Alarm went off at 5am and I didn't get up until 6:20..lol Oh well, I will try again tomorrow. I still might get 45 minutes in tonight. I just can't wait until the weather breaks so I can go outside to run.

Well, tomorrow is another day. Thanks for reading.

Hey there we can't get a freaking break in the weather,I so loved sunday warm of 50 BUT the wind was like gusting 50 miles per hours lol making yard cleaning that much harder.
Your doing great and kudos for the cottage cheese I like every kind of cheese, sour cream, chip dip ect but I can't manage a bite of cottage cheese yet lol, texture I guess lol.Have a nice Thursday

Yea, the weather has been terrible here too. Only 9 degrees out there today. Like you, Sunday for us was fairly warm with high winds and some rain but then it all froze on Monday..lol I am pricing flights now to head south, I can't take it anymore.. :D

I am not sure how anyone cannot like cottage cheese..lol That is the most common reason I hear though, the texture. I absolutely love it and can eat it by the tubs. It has to be damn near a perfect food when you look at it's macro breakdown. Mixed with some nuts or peanutbutter it is the ultimate bed time snack ;)

try the small curd mixed with some cocoa powder and cinnamon... :D

I have tried it with the cocoa powder and some different flavored protein powders, but I am not a big cinnamon fan. I think my favorite way of eating it is with salt, pepper and a little splash of vinager. :D
