Eyes on the prize!

Yey so today i had the following

Breakfast - 1 slice of toast and peanut butter
Lunch - tuna and kidney bean salad with a slice of melon and apple
Snack - yoghurt and bannna
2nd Snack - 8 almonds
dinner - veggie stir fry served with wholemeal pitta bread + tub of low fat creamed rice.

Drinks - 2.5litres of water + 2 cans of pepsi max

Excercise - 5k run in 49.02

So I feel good however between the hours of 4-5pm I just though about food the WHOLE time. I thought about just not going to the gym and buying chocolate and going home and eating it. I didn't though and the craving passed as soon as I went to the gym but I've never had a craving as strong/bad as that. I had my yoghurt and banana at 4.20pm but still it did not kirb my craving.

Tomorrow I am going outdoor running which I am not looking forward too at all it's 1.5miles and will prob kill me lol! Watch this space x

Hey hun, I'm so envious of you running a 5k, I've just started the couch to 5k programme. Day one was today and I ran/walked 3k. More walking than running though. Felt good, can't wait til I can run a 5k, it'll be a huge achievement for me. Think I'd enter some charity races when I get near being able to run that far.I ran outside for the first time the other day and couldn't believe the difference...so much harder. But...the ultimate goal should be outdoor running, cos it's freeeeeeee! yey lol. Good luck, let us know how it goes x

Hey luv - how are you? I didn't run all the 5k I walked some of it when I got tired. I've had a look at that c25k thing. I started off running like that walking/running kinda thing and now I can run up to 13mins without stopping - it's amazing how quick you get fit with running. So good for you sweeting - keep it up - we'll see who can run the 5k 1st without stopping. I won't be there for a looooong time though. Yeah I am not looking forward to tomorrow. I was thinking about doing a 5k charity run in June but I'll soon scrap that idea after tomorrow lol! keep it up honey and i'll hear how you get on x

Lol, how about we both sign up for the race for life? think it's in july is it? 17th i believe. well my local one is anyway, that's ages away and plenty of time to prepare. Plus it's for charity so added bonus...you game for the challenge lady? x

Hey girllll! Just stopping by to see how you're doing :)

"it's amazing how quick you get fit with running" Soooooo true! It's amazing how fast our body's can adapt. Congrats on being able to run for 13 minutes without stopping. That's AWESOME!

Noooo don't scrap the 5K run for June. I believe you can do it!!! Within a short period of time you've already been able to run for 13 minutes straight. Just think of what you can accomplish from March-June. That's 3 months. PLENTY of time. You got this!

So today:

Breakfast = slice wholegrain toast and peanut butter
Lunch = Tuna and kidney bean salad, slice of melon & apple
Snack = 1 small pancake with nutella spread
Snack = 1 banana
Dinner = cous cous with oven roasted veg

Excercise - outdoor running about a mile worth but it was really really hard going and could only run for about 30secs before having to stop. What a difference it is running outdoors compared to treadmill running.

My pancake was a lovely treat - i didn't have my wee tub of low fat rice pudding yesterday so yesterday I didn't have a treat :0)

tell me about it! outdoor running is way way way harder! that's the only thing i'm worried about with the 5k, i've no doubt in my mind that i can do a 5k on the treadmill by july...but outside? hmmmm, god knows. well done for trying though, like i said, i managed 1/2 a mile the other day and nearly died! hahahaha, very embarrassing. X
