Extreme Makeover: Brandon Edition

As you lose more and more you'll notice the weeks get slower and slower, and you've lost a lot of weight by now. Losing 2 pounds a week is still great though.

Take it easy with the shin splints, if you keep running with them they only will get worse. When they first appear it's worth it to take a break for a week or until the pain goes away and then start back up when you're feeling well.

here is a long article about stretches you can do to help yourself. This saved my ass a few years ago so I hope it can help you! Good work and good luck!

Thanks a lot! I'll surely read up!

Oh... 10.2 lbs away from being 100 lbs down... but who's counting?!?!

Amazing progress! Its really cool to see people with goals similar to mine. I started 1/7 at 355.4.....as of 3/11 i'm 312.8. My goal is to hit 200, but I'm going to re-evaluate at about 215-220. Thanks for posting everything; I needed a little inspiration!

Hey,

Thanks for stopping by! 43 lbs in 2 months?!? That is awesome!

Have you started a journal or posted pics yet?

Good Luck!

I haven't really gotten into putting much on here....still getting used to the site. I plan on getting some of my pictures from January up.

Thanks for the compliment! I'm constantly crunching numbers to see how big of a calorie defecit I need to keep losing weight. I had cut back too far for a while (1000-1200) and noticed I was pretty wiped, so I've kicked it back up to 1300-1600 average.

What have you done as far as an exercise program?

SyNyStEr14, I've looked at your progress, too. lohbahl and you are my new "role models" through this. Any tips? I'm all ears! :bigear:

Nice progress lohbahl! Going to the gym often sure feels good, even if you're not quite at your goal yet.......

Well, obviously cardio is the most important. I run on the treadmill and ride the stationary bike or elyptical. I try to do HIIT once a week. I also like to lift weights, so I do circuit training every now and then. When I lift, I do only full body workouts, with core every other night.

I also started on a 1000-1200 calorie diet, and stuck on it for about the first few months, but then felt drained. I am currently on a 1600 calorie diet. I go by the rule, "Eat like a king for breakfast, like a prince for lunch, and like a poor college student for dinner." I also make sure I get more than enough water. I haven't had a soda since October 20th. (which is hard for me)

Anything else?

SyNyStEr was my motivation when I started. He is a great person who has achieved HUGE things. It is nice to see someone with numbers relative to mine, succeed.

Good luck again!:waving:

Thanks!

Hard to believe, but I have become a gym RAT.

As a matter of fact, me and a good friend went to look at a location for a gym. We are looking to buy into the "Anytime Fitness" franchise.

What a day:

Today was the first day, since my journey began, that I got a chance to do my cardio OUTSIDE. Anyone that runs on a treadmill knows what I'm talking about.

Hell yeah! Got my outside cardio on today with a hour and 30 min bike ride. time goes by so much faster with outside cardio!

Too be honest, hard work and good living is all it takes..respect yourself, respect what you put into your body..for me it was about changing my views on food, and realising that being healthy and happy is more important than a burger or fries!! Best advice, read around the forum...ask as many questions as you need to..and enjoy the journey!!!!
