Extra Long Recovery Time...

I work out a few times a week mostly on my arms, after all my works outs my arms KILL or at least 4-5 days. I was thinking what the reason could be for this and this is what i thought of:

-overworking my muscles?
-not eating properly?
-not drinking enough water?

I stretch before I work out 99% of the time, work out properly (meaning proper movements and form) but i was wondering if someone can help me out with this and telling me what can help.

your overtraining your arms. This can lead to injury, bad injury. if you are routinely doing the same movement over and over such as lifting boxes or in yoru case working out your arms you can start something called the cumulative injury cycle. which you probably have. You need to use a foam roll and loosen any adhesions in your biceps and triceps.
 
It is not uncommon to have delayed onset muscle soreness (doms) after working a muscle group for the first time or for the first time in a while, but you shouldn't be sore every time you work out. That would be of concern. My first thought would be to back off to twice weekly or even once weekly and see if that takes care of the problem. If it doesn't I would see an orthopedist.
