Heehee, Smiley. I'm back in action! Well, sort of. I'm still getting ready for college/moving. Yesterday, I spent 2 hours cleaning my own house, then 2 helping a friend clean hers, then 8 sleeping until 3pm, because I was cleaning 3rd shift for a friend for some extra cash!!

Needless to say, I didn't do any exercise yesterday. The whole day felt like exercise though.

I'm going to go jogging tonight when I get done with my pre-test for school (yikes). I need to do some more weight-lifting type-o-things though.

Well, whatever I've been doing, it's been working, because I'm down to 161!!
 
I was just wondering....what type of shoes do you wear to jog in?.....One of the things I would like to be abel to do one day is jog. I read that you jog 3 miles! WOW!...I feel like my feet are on fire when I WALK the 3.4 miles from the curves I go to. I get home and I have hot spots on my feet....UGH!!!.....Keep up the good work and the positive attitude!!
 
Thanks Christina!! It's going to be really hard to keep getting out there and exercising with school approaching, but I'm going to, darn it! :mad: :D

To answer Kc's question: I just wear a pair of avia foms, which are women's walking shoes. I eventually plan on buying a nice pair of running shoes, but at the moment I have no money. My avias are pretty comfy for now.

When I weighed just under 200 pounds, I used to work a job where I was on my feet all day. Part of the reason I lost weight was being on my feet all day, but when I got home, my feet /ached/ and I wouldn't want to do anything! I think excess weight can have a big effect on feet, especially smaller feet. It'll get better, though.

I went to see Redeye in theaters the other night with a friend of mine who's leaving for college this week. I thought it was pretty good! I don't want to say too much about it, in case anyone wants to see it. I just have to say that I think Cillian Murphy (also Scarecrow in Batman) is just gorgeous (no matter what kind of character he's playing!) :p

You are doing great with your weight lose. How long did it take you to go from 200 to 160's?....Before I lost 40 lbs I remember how bad my feet hurt after I got through with my stand up job....( Working at Godiva!!!...which is no way a help in losing weight!!!).......I sometimes had to hold on to the wall for support!!!....3.4 miles of walking is not much for alot of people...and its not the length that bothers me....because I am not overly tired from it..its just that my feet are in soo much pain when I get home all I want to do is sit and watch tv....bad bad bad....I need some good walking shoes....
 
ah, the movies...whats that exactly? The last movie I saw actually wasnt' that long ago, the new batman movie, but before that, it had been YEARS!!

Yeah, they just raised movies to $8 at the theater I generally go to here, so it's a rare thing that I can afford to go too. My petty form of vengeance is smuggling candy in. Once we brought in popsicles. Half of them melted and we had to throw those out. Last night, it was Pringles. My purse fits in a can perfectly. :D

KC: I think I lost the 30some pounds in about 4-5 months. A lot of it was my old job, which kept me moving (housekeeper). Some of it was just that I started exercising. Also, I know I ate less calories during that period of time, even if it wasn't necessarily /healthy/ stuff that I ate. :rolleyes:
Hmm. I wish I had some good advice about feet. All I know is it will get better. In the meantime... I know they have shoe inserts. I don't know if those would do any good? Another option is biking or rollerblading to the gym. :)

Hookay, so today I had to take my mom up north, because she's going on vacation. I had this awful sore throat (probably due to the fact that I had just been saying the day before how I never get sick) and felt generally crappy. So I was stuck driving 1 1/2 hours one way, and 1 1/2 back on my $3.00 a gallon gas.

Breakfast. Kwik trip. Sausage Croissanwich. I think that speaks for itself.

Lunch. McDonald's. Medium triple thick shake. Again, tells its own story right there.

Dinner. Bag of M&Ms. Seriously, if food could talk... well, it would probably say, "don't eat me" or perhaps, "what the heck kind of diet includes /anything/ from McDonald's, lady??"

So I ate three things today, all of which were complete TRASH, and now my intestines hurt. Owie... The shake, I won't apologize for because it felt so good on my throat, but ugh.

Ah well. Go again tomorrow.

My 'jog' stopped being a jog half way through. I have no idea why. I might have started out to fast? Maybe it was just because I wasn't feeling so well.

Oh, one neat thing did happen on my sad little jog/walk. I turned on a street I don't normally go on, and discovered a completely different side to my neighborhood! The people on 4th street just seem totally removed from the rest of the city. There are all of these little gardens, and most of the houses are these gorgeous victorians or cozy bungalows. The wind was blowing hard, and I temporarily forgot where I was. It gave me a new appreciation for my hometown.
 
okay consider the day a " cheat day"...the rest of the week just watch your food intake......go ahead and start gargling with warm salt water for your throat, drink some broth and maybe have some kind of fruit popcicles.....( I just got over strep throat...).....And I did not work out for a week...when I started back up on Monday it about killed me!!....So if you feel too bad to jog....maybe you can do some light form of exercise....But if you feel realllly bad...you should get as much rest as you can!
Hope you feel better.....and no more m& ms for the month young lady!!!!...LOL
 
ahh Ex sorry your feeling bad, yeah just count it as an off day, we all have em, and dont feel so bad about the jog sometimes when were sick we have no energy...hope you feel better soon!..now step away from the m&ms... :p

Yeah, I forgot to bring anything to work, so I had a little chat with Mr. Vending Machine, and he was all like, "m&ms are great diet food," and I was all like "okay!" Darn thing had over 500 calories.

I'm a little feeling better today, so I may give that jog a second chance, or maybe just go walking.
 
Walking might be better. You dont want to overdue it or get a relapse!
Vending machines always lie. It's like they enjoy watching us humans put bad things in our bodies and grow. Never listen to them!

Hope you feel better soon. Don't forget broth and fluids.

Someone talked about shoes and their feet hurting. I finally bought some Ped socks at Wal-Mart - medium weight I think. My feet feel much better now if I'm on them all day or go jogging. Once, my new socks were all dirty and I wore an old, worn pair of socks. I could feel the difference; my feet ached.
