Exercise hangover??

Does such a thing exist? I worked out last night...probably one of the harder ones ive done in quite sometime and this morning i woke up and felt like ive been hit by a truck. Not really sick, just extremely lethargic and sore all over. Is it possible to over do it to the point you almost feel sick the next day? Also, there is a bug going around my office so maybe im just in the pre-stages of that, but this feels exercise induced if that makes any sense. I shredded my muscles last night so im taking advantage of the repair by getting a lot of protein today...and sleep.
 
Sure. After an extremely intense workout, you can feel like that. If you are THAT jacked up though, I'd say you overdid it some...and that you didn't eat enough carbs after your workout. Your body NEEDS replenishment after it's workout or else it won't heal itself nearly as much as it can.
 
I agree with the carbs thing...i need to watch that. All i had was a protein shake right after the work-out (6:30PM), then for dinner at 8:00 a pork-chop and some sweet peas and v8 juice, and for a bedtime snack i had a thing of cottage cheese. Not many carbs in any of that so i missed out for sure. Thanks for the advice.
 
All i had/have post work-out (Immediately) is a protein shake. For that night though i had hardly any carbs the rest of the evening. Maybe thats what did it to me? Im feeling fine now so it wasnt a cold...i think i really did overdo it in the gym.
