Excercising while on vacation?

Hi all,

First time posting but ive browsed the site alot and just wanted to thank everyone here for all the information ive learned.

i have two quick questions. Next month, over winter break, im going to be going on vacation for 2 weeks. I wont have access to a gym and i wont be able to run at all as i will be in a CROWDED city(Hong Kong). I've been eating alot and working out hard and gaining muscle so im afraid with a 2 week break ill lose some of my progress. i figure i should keep eating alot to help keep my muscles but im not sure what to do for excercises. any help would be appreciated. right now all i can think of is pushups, pullups, dips, crunches, squats, calf raises.

also, on an unrelated note, i know about having enough protein to match your lean mass or even more but how much protein should one get directly after a workout(PWO shake/meal)?

thanks in advance!

Well if you really have to do something then the exercises you mention will be good. But imo if your gonna be on vacation then enjoy it and don't worry about working out for the 2 weeks. You won't really lose much in a two week period, just make sure you get back on track when you get back. Another thing to remember, it is good to give you muscles a nice break every now and then.

well, its called a vacation for a reason man :)

but, if it bothers you, then yeah, go ahead and do some simple bodyweight exercises, like the ones you listed, and just aim to keep your protein intake up to normal during those 2 weeks. eat plenty of stir fried veggies and meat.

PWO, about .4g of protein per pound of lean body mass, and .8g of carbs per pound of lean mass, assuming you're bulking up.

if you're maintaining or leaning out, .2g protein / .4g carbs per pound of lean mass.

thanks for both the replys. its important to be able to just relax and enjoy life when possible. thanks for all the advice and help. its vacation so ill definately be able to keep up my large(but healthy) eating habits =)
