Everyones statements and contradictions to weight lifting..

I have been lifting for around 4 months. Just a few days ago someone recommended Max OT.So I am begginign to follow it a bit, but what i am reading in this workout program is the exact oppisite of what i read sometimes on the forums.It says to only do 1/2 muscles groups every 5-7 days.I just read on the forums that 3x a muscle group a week is adequate for growing muscle.Also is anyone a expert on the Max OT training? i dont fully understand how the warmup sets work.So all I am doing is strectching and doing the exercises that it is requiring and the sets and reps it requires then I leave the gym after some cardio.Can a expert maybe leave their aim name or soemthing where we could chat more fluently.
 
There's many different styles. Max OT works more frequent routines work.

Bottomline: Nothing works forever and some people respond better to different styles.
 
So in all reality what should I follow?I am 16 years old I want to get muscle gain.I just need to follow the Max OT to the T and I will see results?Newf do you have a messenger program where I can have access to you more frequently becuase i have lots of questions...Lifting is what i love to do and training my body to look fit and be stronger. This is very important to my life and it gives me discipline.I dont want to waste my time doing something wrong.Today is the first day I will be working my legs.I have been working out for 4 mons and never done it. Are there any suggestions? Should I use the smith machine to do squats?Also on deadlift how exactly should i do that?
 
Max OT works. Stick to it but if you never done squats before i would do very light weight has with the deadlifts. Do you have an experienced lifter that can watch you form and make suggestions?
