I'm linking my blog to this journal and will probably post here periodically. Im just getting started and am feeling a little overwhelmed. Hopefully establishing myself on here will def. make this a little smoother and fun.

Hm, in terms of couch to 5 k program, what constitutes a BRISK walk?

I walked on 3mph and ran on 5mph (using my treadmill) totally not sure if it's fast enough.

the speed of Brisk is different for everybody depending on fitness level and body proportions. During a brisk walk you should be able to talk in short sentences but not long or complicated sentences.

Vlog number two is up. Still got to do my kinect workout gonna do that after I post this

Updates from yesterdays workout :D

So today...what time is a good time to run outdoors? Also to eat or not to eat before a jog? What foods are good fuel? thus my mission for workout education begins!

the ideal time is when you are able, but as far as eating goes it is good to eat about an hour before you run and make sure your fully hydrated before you start.

Some people like to run in the morning before breakfast but it does put you at risk of hitting the wall which can be dangerous, by training in the morning on an empty stomach you can burn more fat due to minimum stores of glycogen in the liver and muscles but you wont have the energy to maintain much intensity, during your run you will then deplete your already low glycogen stores further leading to hitting what runners call "the wall" and what cyclists call "bonking". Bonking can lead to hypoglycemia.

research BONK training if you want to know more but it is not recommended for an untrained athlete.
