Erin's Diary Day 1 WOOHOO

Day 5 Continued:

Lunch: Salad with tomatoes, 1/4 avocado (thanks, Val ;) ) and half a serving of a Grilled Tuna Filet

Yummy.

12 ounces of water - not so good, but haven't been in my office much since noon or so....

And I have had a couple dark chocolate espresso beans... they're not very good, so, that's not a problem anymore HA HA

Damn... The new avi is HOT!

Alas I missed out on yesterday's fun here. but(t) :D not without reason. Oh well...

I knew you'd fit right into this place Erin. You have the right attitude Looks like you have it going on right from the jump.

Stair steppers will work on the booty as will an Arc trainer (X between a stair stepper and an eliptical), but for real changes I agree with the above, deads are a good one.

I'll see ya around. Don't usually do a lot of posting over the weekend.

Day 5 - LONG Day!

My Goodness I woke up with a headache!

So last night at the dinner party.... It was an Ad Hoc theme (my sister LOVES Thomas Keller...)

I had (2) Glasses of Champagne - Mmmmmmm I LOOVE Champagne =D

First Course:
A Wedge salad with tomatoes, small bacon pieces (I had a minimal amount), and a really light creme fresche herb dressing.

Second Course:
Fingerling potatoes (I had 5 halves), 1 small drumbstrick of rosemary brined chicken.

Third Course:
Manchengo Cheese with Glazed Pecans

Fourth Course:
Apple Brown Betty with a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - I only had a bite and did SO well to resist after that WOOHOO!

That was my night. Lots of food - but small portions so at least that makes up for it - still no bread or pasta.

Woke up feeling good (besides the Champagne Headache!)

Thanks for the comment about the new 'avi' ;)

Off to go get ready for the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay - MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll see how I feel after trying on dresses for the days events... ;)

Parties, or most get togethers are the roughest!! You want to have a good time, but you don't want to over indulge. I think you did very well! :) It's all about fallin' into the new lifestyle! Go Erin! :)

So -as a disclaimer: I am a bit hammered at the moment.

I don't drink, really. If/when I do, I drink Champagne - that's it. I don't drink anything else. I only drink on the weekends - usually Saturdays - and maybe twice a month. I am a light weight, by nature. But factor in that I had NOTHING to eat today prior to drinking besides 6 peanut M&M's and half a sprite.

We went to the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay (my favorite place!) to celebrate my moms birthday with my sister, my mom, and our very good friend. We went for a Veuve Cliquot tasting and history class. It was AMAZING. I had 3 glasses of champgne, and, after 1/2 of one - i was GONE. LOL

My body feels good. I am already fitting into 'skinny' pants and they look fab! (my butt looks particularly great ;) ) hahaha They don't fit like they used to, but they at least fit comfortably again. Plus my BEAUTIFUL heels make the outfit super fab - I'm a shoe girl. Anyways, so I feel good. I felt I look good. I felt my body looked good. BUT - I can tell I am heavy in my face and I hate it in pictures. I know that it has a lot to do with the alcohol. When I drink Champagne within an hour and especially the next morning, my face feels swollen and I HATE it. Today is totally one of those days between last night and todays drinking. UGH. But my body feels fine.....

Hmmmm it's a catch.

Day 8 I think....

I think it's day 8...

I woke up (a bit tired and reluctantly...) but feeling really refreshed. I put on a cute new outfit I just bought and felt great. The pants I bought are fabulous, but, I am clearly in between sizes. The size I bought is definitely a bit baggy but the size smaller would be too snug in the hip-region (my wides part) so, I went for the baggy 'cause they looked hot and fit comfortably and I figure I can have them taken in. it's a size I don't want to be and haven't been in a long time.... so it's just motivation to be the next size down, than maybe down another size soon after that!!! Shopping for clothes was a bit of a drag yesterday. I'm a 6 in tops and coats and jackets, and some dresses - which is fine- I am happy with that. But the pants are bigger and bigger than what I'd like them to be. So it was hard trying on skirts/pants and not being happy with the size or the way they fit. That's really really hard for me since I'm really into fashion and shopping. So, even if I dropped ONE pant/skirt size, I'd be super happy. I am a obsessed with dresses and ordinarily it's not a problem but even the dresses were fitting different due to my lower half being larger now =( UGH!!!!!!!!! So for the first time in my life I bought pants and not a dress - not happy. More motivation to get it off, though.

So, this morning has been a bit crazy at work and I just got the chance to write this up.

I have had (1) Odwalla bar - Chocolate Chip Peanut.

Only like 2 ounces of water (is that even worth reporting!?)

We sell wine to the 1/2 MB Ritz, but I never been there!

Mmmmm Veuve Cliquot! :drooling:

Erin, after you lose some, you'll have a much better time in the dressing room, trust me! Until then, be diligent and you WILL see results--especially deadlifts will tone you, and YOGA my god, Yoga keeps me leaner than ANYTHING! Have a great day!

Day 8 I think....Continued

Lunch:
Serving of salmon (the size of my palm =) ) With fresh steamed veggies Mmmmmmmmmmm

Blllllllllaaaaaaaaaah

I cannot wait for this month to be over. It's not the stress of gifts, money, the holidays - it's the fact that since September I've had nothing but birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, bridal showers, BLAH BLAH BLAH on top of the holidays each month. UGH! It leaves me with little to no time to myself and little ability to not have mass quantities of food shoved in front of my face.

I did however find two GREAT Yoga studios near me. One Bikram and one regular. I am excited to start that ASAP.

I haven't been to the gym in days! BLAH. I want to go and maybe I'll try tonight... just being cautious about my poor little foot.

This morning - a couple of bites of yogurt... not really feelin' it. Might try a banana...

AWESOME. One thing to note especially is Yoga is great for your feet. You wear heels, you NEED a break and some good old foot-love but not in a kinky way, HAHAHAA! People on this forum seem dismally unaware (I was in the same position) how amazing an hour of Yoga 4-6 times a week is for your body. You say you don't have a lot of time so that may not be realistic/feasible for you. But trust me, Erin, after a month or two if you frequent your Yoga studio you might notice slimming and firming like you wouldn't believe! :eek2: Anyone who wants to contest that, go for it. Find me a chubby, disproportioned person who happens to do Yoga 5 or more hours a week. Try it! I dare you!
