Hi, I'm Eric. I'm writing this diary because it seems to help you guys and I'm willing to try anything. So, I'll be pretty basic and answers the questions Lisa suggests. I want to lose 58 pounds to start. I weight 223 pounds as of Feb. 11, 2006 and want to get down to 165 pounds. When I reach that weight I'll decide how much farther I need/want to go. But for now that works fine with me. I plan to complete this goal in 210 days, approximately 30 weeks, which is right before the next school year. I started this yesterday but haven't really kicked myself into gear quite yet but I'm still trying to morph into diet mode.
I can start my diary right now as I feel I've just accomplished something quite rewarding. For dinner, my mom and I went to a nice asian buffet. The food was definitely different from my usual burger or chicken. My goal there was to try everything and gulf down some vegetables. Well, I'm sorry to say I just couldn't get vegetables down. The way they were made was terrible. But, I did eat a little of everything, which was mostly different shellfish. At the end of the dinner I felt very full and yet, like I had eaten very little. For dessert there, I had two bite size squares of jello, a bite of my mom's bread pudding, and about a tablespoon of fat-free ice cream. I also had some bananas slices. The bananas were so good. They dipped in like a banana sauce. Really weird but very good.
So, all in all, I was proud of myself tonight. But I must say, reflecting on this morning I feel guilty about breakfast. Two fried eggs and four pieces of toast.
My lunch was even worse, after snacking on candy throughout the morning I hit lunch with popcorn at the movies. A had a banana and a large cup of water before we went out to eat and I believe that's what stopped me from overeating at the buffet.
I have a new idea I plan to put into action in the near future. Chewing gum constantly throughout the day. Some fat-free, minty type gum whenever I'm not eating. If anyone has ever tried this idea, feedback would be appreciated.
Well, there you have it, my first diary entry.
