EmmySweet's Weight Loss Diary

DAY FOUR:

Calories: 1239
Water: 12 glasses

This soup is full-on awesome. I had two bowls of it, and it was so filling that I had to have a grilled cheese sandwich to reach my calorie count! I was about 500 calories under for the day, and so full from the soup that I had to *make* myself eat a sandwich. Sooo, I'll probably only have one bowl of the soup in a day.

However, I need to get back on track with the water intake. 12 glasses is my minimum, but I'm really trying to shoot for 16. I'm already noticing that my skin looks GREAT after all this water! It's crazy, but the pores all over my body seem to have completely disappeared!

Oh my goodness, so after looking up the calories for my favorite sushi rolls, I was able to go to lunch! Sushi is actually pretty low-cal when done in moderation. I had a rad lunch for about 500 calories, and with the soup I made, I won't be hungry at all today!

DAY SIX:

Calories: 1346
Water: 14 glasses

I also went out swing dancing for an hour! :) It looks like that burns about 300 calories. If I keep this dancing up, I might have to change my weekly activity level!

Weigh-in coming up! I'm excited :) I'll be recording this weigh-in

Well I don't think Lean Cuisine is a bad ideal! If I didn't have to cook for my family I would use them a lot or just regular cheap dinners (Banquet) .77 cents at WalMarts. I know a doctor who eats Lean Cuisine when he is at work and he stays slim and I have notice that he comes to the gym. Green Giant Veggies are great in the microwave and they were only $1.49 a box at Walmarts. I asked Dr. Paul about the Lean Cuisine, he said he used them all the time.

Ziploc Zip'n Steam is good for healthy meals in minutes too. They are designed for microwave use. So far I have only used them to steam flesh vegetables, but you can use seafood, poultry too and they come with recipes. Comes in medium or large bags. I love them. I have two bags with veggies and butter in the fridge ready to put in the microwave.

Good luck to you!

Updates on Weigh-In Day!!

Waist - 34 in. (36in. at start of diet)
Hips - 43.5(45in. at start of diet)
Thighs - 26in. (27in. at start of diet)

Also, I've gone down to 182.5 pounds!!! 10.5 pounds in a week is a bit much, but I head that in the first week of a diet people tend to lose a whole lot at once, then it slows down to 1-2 pounds per week.

I'll also be having a glass of nonfat milk everyday from now on. My nails have gotten really brittle over the past week, and I realized that the only thing missing from my diet was calcium :) Let's get that back on track!

Thanks! :) I use the Steam Fresh sometimes; they rock for a big bag of easy steamed vegetables!!

I'm actually surprised at how much luck I've had with Lean Cuisine... my friend is on Jenny Craig, and we have similar results at this point in the dieting. I was considering paying for that big expensive system, but Lean Cuisine is cheaper and has worked just as well! :)

Ooooh, your starting measurements were almost exactly mine, except my hips were one inch smaller, and my thighs 1 inch bigger. I've already gone down to 34 waist, 43 hips, 25 legs, so you'll be following me soon!

10 pounds in a week is LOADS. I only lost 5lbs in the first 10 days lol. I think that when your body is dehydrated, it holds onto the water that it has got more, which makes you heavier. When you are hydrated you wee out the extra water so you are lighter. Its weird how it works isn't it, like it should be the other way round.

For quick meals if you get fed up with lean cuisine, you could try omlettes or stir fry's, they only take about 10 minutes. And if you get a ready cooked chicken from the supermarket you can throw a salad together in no time at all. x

Oh wow, it looks like we're on the same track then!! :) I'm only a little behind you ;) Legs are the hardest part for me I think! Do you know any good leg exercises??

An omlette is also a GREAT idea! I have an egg every morning, but for lunch or dinner or something I could make a super tasty omlette for around 300 calories... woo!!

Another thing I also thought about trying to add to the diet is artichokes. A whole one is only 25 calories!!

Do you have a Diary on here? :) Since we're similar measurements, I'd love to track your progress too!

Well, runnings quite good but I'm not ready for that quite yet lol. I do leg lifts most days, and also leg stretches.

Everyone is talking about artichokes! I really must try them...

My diary is here.... http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weig...ysterical-diet-related-rambling-flab-fab.html And, you might have worked this out already (it took me ages), but to see new replies to the threads you have commented on, just go to User CP in the top left.

Is swing dancing fun?

So I fell off track a bit :( I was doing so well! I caved into one of my friends who was throwing a barbecue, I ate too much, and then had a lot of difficulty continuing my diet once school started.

NEW BEGINNING!!

In good news, I've actually managed to quit smoking (I'm at 2 days so far).
My lungs feel a LOT better and I'm going to start swimming regularly! Wooo! :)

I'll start doing my day-to-day posts again :)

And this time, I'll stay on track!!!

:D Well done on going two days without smoking!!!! That's really bloody brilliant! I want to give up so badly, I've been smoking more and more in the past 4 months or so whilst I've been sitting around doing not much. How are you doing it?

Good to see you back!

I think I'm going to skip on updating *every* day, but I'll throw in some weekly updates or so :)

I've been cigarette free for 23 days now :) I think it's safe to say that I've officially quit!! :)

I've also started walking an average of 35-40 miles per week. I've gained some weight, but my clothes are getting loose, so I think I'm building some muscle, and that's where the weight has come from. :)

I've upped my calorie count to 1700 to accommodate the extra exercise. I've even learned how to cook a little bit!!!

Also, my new power-foods: Salmon, cod, crab, avocado, tofu stir-fry, bananas, watermelon, cucumber, acorn squash, and artichokes!!!

I'm never hungry at all with these :)
