Emmas Diary

phew i did it yesteday....
it is so hard to start being healthy again when u have been going wild stuffing sugar and grease in your mouth as if its going out of fashion for 3 days. i did have a few moments where i craved chocolate but managed to resist. hopefulyl today will be better.

also happy today becuase i think i stand a high chance for getting this house i have been bidding for becuase i received a letter yesterday saying they want to see me today. fingers crossed. so think that will take my mind off the binging

Decided it was time to re-start this diary now im back on it.

so for those that dont remember me... there is a 6-7 month break in between me posting.

just for the record.. i didnt quite get into that NYE outfit i was hoping to get into... split with my BF in the first weekend of december and just went into drinking and eating madness... so had to keep the midriff covered up.
see attatched photo. (the curtains are not mine by the way in case u all thought i had terrible taste.. they belongd to the hotel me and friends were staying in)

SO here i am 6 months later... deciding its time to stop going down the shop for those raspberry and white chocolate cookies  and to stop drinkin so much alcohol.. as much as i like a little drink ;)

im on day 2

yesterday did 40mins cardio and did some upper body weights

today so far 35 mins cardio.

Both days i have kept away from the cake and alcohol section in the supermarket.... so im happy ... the first day is always the hardest and i got through it.

Ha, that's one of the best 'progress' pics I've seen in a while! ;)

It's good to see you're starting your diary again, good luck

i love the drink aswell, after the first few days its not as hard, i can nearly walk past a bottle of jack without breaking down now :D

thanks guys :D

as for exercise and diet..

i was doing 30-40mins cardio 3-4 times per week but im going to step that up to 5-6 times per week now.

weights - going to do 3 times per week with free weights (occasionally use resistance machines aswell) .. 4 if i can get a bit more spare time.
im going to aim to work each muscle at least once a week.
DO U THINK IT SHOULD BE TWICE???

on the food front.. im not going to be overly strict with myself as i know what im like if im too strict.. dont wanna end up going on a mad binging session..
going to eat 4-5 smaller meals a day, eat as much fresh and whole foods as possible, and avoid the dreaded sugary products and alcohol.

IE- today for breakfast had 1 slice wholemeal toast with a tiny scraping of butter and marmite ..also .. an apple, banana and natural yoghurt smoothie (not a shop purchased sugar infested one).

jsut eaten 2 small wholemeal rolls with chicken, no butter but a very small scrape of mayo, was going to have 1 roll and a big portion of salad but the fridge seems to be emptier then i thought so its off 2 the supermarket i go this afternoon to stock up on supplies.

You can try having two routines so you can switch off - like the first week doing Routine A on Monday, B on Wednesday, and A on Friday. Then the following week do B, A, B. Have a look at The New Rules of Lifting, by Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove - I'm close to completing the Break-In program and am liking the results so far.

havent had much time to come online today... just thought id pop on quickly to say i havent had any mad binges or given in to the temptations of the alcohol section in the supermarket.

im actualyl feelin alot better after just 4 days of no sugar or alcohol.

had a brilliant cardio sesh earlier... sweat was drippin off me by the bucket load.. it did the trick

also did 45 mins pole dance practise 2. ;)

My inner sexpot wants to try pole dancing but my outer is too embarrassed to. What do you think of it? How are doing w/it? Inquiring minds wants to know, ok only me...:D

no deff dont be embarressed. its great fun, its super sexy 2 watch, good for toning legs, arms, stomach. ... and u dont have to remove clothing if you dont want.
:D i treasure my pole.

you should try it... u will love it.... once u perfect a move that you have been trying and trying (and getting bruised all over for), it feels so good.

I want to try this as well but there is no class that is close to where I am...
And like you I know I would be very embarrassed...but my husband would love this!

had a cheat-ish meal on saturday evening... made a thai curry... though did use reduced fat coconut milk and i had alot more of a smaller portion then i would have had if i was really going for it.

sunday went to resurant and was so tempted by the lasagne and garlic bread ... the BF was having a "mighty stack" burger and drinkin beer.. you dont know how much i fancied a glass of wine.. in fact i did say at one point "can i have a glass of wine please" .. but the angel on my shoulder managed to talk me into being a good girl and i had salmon and vegetables instead .. WITH mineral water. then had to sit and watch someone stuffing a big cheesy burger and spiral fries in their mouth. ha ha ha

my waist has hit the under 28inch mark now.. a few nothches under.. so im seeing a deffinite result and that obviously giving me the insetive to keep up with avoiding the old alcohol and junk i was eating.
in fact i can actually go in supermarket and not be tepted now... ive got past that stage now. just resurants are the hardest bit as you can smell everything cooking and see other people sipping on their alcoholic bevarage

Yea on the accomplishments!!
