emergency...

yesterday i hit bulgarian split squats extremely hard. i pushed it to the limit. i overheated and had to get my brother to put cold towels on me to cool me down. i felt light headed and terrible.

the next day

is today. i planned on doing chinups, bench, rows. dont worry about what/why i did this. on my first set of chins, i pumped out 10 no problem. but when i got to 6, i felt a great pain in the back of my neck. it rushed to the back of my head/sides of my head. it hurt soooo much. it still hurts a bit 4 minutes after as i type this. i am scared. it felt like a huge migrane. right when i started pushing myself a bit to do the chins, it started to hurt. i had a similar feeling yesterday when i did the squats. but it wasnt bad. this is.

like i said, the 10 chins didnt even really challenge me. that is why i am so scared. why did this happen!?

please help me. :( what can i do? whats wrong with me?

Feel tight? Being light headed is down to too things. 1) hydrations levels. You need to be hydrated. 2) how fatigued you are. A general problem is heat, for example my mum fainted on holiday in spain in the gym due to overheating.

As for your pain, you have probably pulled a muscle. Can you turn your head properly/move your neck around? I have pulled my shoulder/neck out a few times, it's a killer. Takes around 3 days to heal, a week to completely go away. Stretch it like hell.

Oh, another thought. When I tried to do squats once I misplaced the barbell. I did some and felt light headed, plus my neck/head felt like a dagger was in it. Like cracking your jaw in your neck is the best way to describe the feeling.

So: Could be down to 1) where the barbell was placed during squats. 2) pulling a muscle.

Rest it, if it hurts by Monday go see a doctor. Hopefully that's not the case.

i can move my neck around in any way and it doesnt hurt.
i was using db's to do bulgarian split squats.
so i have no idea what it is :(

except: i did my workout yesterday hour after eating my first meal. i didnt drink any water. thats probably why. that, and b/c it was very intense.

but i have no idea why my neck is hurting.

thanks for the ideas though they make sense

i just did 10 more chins. they did not hurt this time :) just a little stiffness still. mayb it was a false alarm/one time thing.

oh. its feeling great man! its strong enough to do chinups now with no problems. rowing is still getting there. deads are still getting there. but its healing well. thanks for the thought
