ellyptical machines

I don't know how ppl can these and last so long on these. I mean I can jog for long distances and all but, these machines kick my ass real quick. my thighs burn like crazy in a short period of time. Is it just me? I saw this guy who looked like he was going back into time on one of these machines. LIKE DAMN , if I did that...my thigh muscles would pop out.

I don't think i've ever seen anyone's thigh muscles actually pop out, that would be something new...

It could be that your legs aren't up to the strength needed to push down for a long time, it could be that you just are not used to the movement and need to give it a week or so to build up and practice the movement so you aren't sore ^^

I'm not sure if you have tried this, but you can change the resistance on most of them...like how hard it is to push down with each step. Might want to try putting to a lower setting when starting off.

On the other hand, if your thigh muscles DO pop out, i definitely want a picture.

Sometimes switching to a different exercise, even one of equal intensity, can feel harder for a bit. Your body is not accustomed to it yet, and has not adapted.

Personally, I find the ellipticals easy unless I increase the resistance, so check the resistance and make sure it isn't set too high.
