Elliptical/Treadmill/Bike Club

Pinky my feet hurt because I work on them all day and do all my exercising plus i have a corn in the center of my right foot - it is usually tolerable but with the dog Ive been walking so much more than usual plus everythign else...

This week

Monday Elliptical - 3.5 miles 25 mins
Tuesay - Treadmill - 1.25 miles in 27 mins 15 secs
Wednesday - Elliptical
Thursday - Treadmill
Friday - Elliptical
Saturday - Treadmill
Sunday Elliptical

Treadmill goal - 30 mins - 1 mile - 1.5 miles wal;king/jogging
Elliptical to use for 30 mins 3.5 - 6 miles depending on time

I am going to go to the Y at 5:30. I am going ot hit the elliptical if it is not in use. If it is, then the treadmill! WHoohooo! I hafta work off that turkey burger from TGIFridays...;)
 
24 Jun - 30 mins, 2 miles, 4.0 mph treadmill
25 Jun - skipped the tread and push mowed for 1.5 hours
26 Jun - None (I was at a training for work from 6:30 AM - 8:00 PM)
27 Jun - 45 mins, 3 miles, 4.0 mph treadmill (elliptical was being used by someone :( ...)
28 Jun - Plan is to get up and go to the Y at 6 AM - doubtful but will try

Ok, here goes nothing....I'm signing up!!

my goal for this week...maybe 2 wks....is 3 sets of 10 min's, 6dys/wk...gulp...I can do this!!

Sunday Treadmill - 8.25 miles - 61.20 mins average speed of 14.5 - 15.5 - it was a treadmill day but elliptical was more convient as it is on teh deck and the little playd in the pool as I used - I will try to use the treadmill later as well - we will see how ambitious I am...

Hey! I just found this thread. I spin everyday except Fridays. I usually do 30-50 mins. (avg 40 mins / 10 miles a day x 6 days).

Hey! I just found this thread. I spin everyday except Fridays. I usually do 30-50 mins. (avg 40 mins / 10 miles a day x 6 days).

Im gonna start using the bike soon her on the weekends...and I try to use the elliptical and treadmill rotating them daily...
 
I recently purchased an elliptical but find it hard even reaching 10 minutes :( I can power walk for an hour, and bike for 30 miles....why is this elliptical so darn tough!?!?!?!?

Don't worry, its not just you! I gave up after 10 minutes on the eliptical. Then I went and did 30 minutes on the cycle and 35 minutes on the treadmill with no problems! I don't think i've ever sweated so hard. I'm going to try and do it again, but adding a minute each time till I can do 30. :drooling:
 
Hi. I'd like to join because I vacillate between the treadmill and the stationary bike six days a week and then rest on the seventh day. I simply cannot use the elliptical. Whenever I get on it I feel like I'm going to fall off. Maybe I lack coordination. Anyway, my regular on the treadmill is 42 minutes. I do a three-minute warm up, jog for thirty-six minutes straight, and then do a three-minute cool down. When I use the stationary bike, I am on it for 51 minutes. I do a three-minute warm up, ride for 45 minutes (roughly 12 miles an hour), and finish with a three-minute cool down. I'd really like to work the elliptical in, but I just feel like a doofus whenever I attempt to move on it.

I'm using the treadmill to help me train for my first 5k in October. I can do 3.1 miles (5k) in 36 minutes on the treadmill pretty easily (12 minute mile) and I can do the same run in about 33 minutes with some more heavy breathing. When I run outside, however, I can am totally beat by the time I've done my 3.1 miles and it takes me about 40 minutes.

Also, I really only started training about 3-4 weeks ago. I went from barely being able to jog on the treadmill for five minutes to what I can do now.

Do you guys know if the calorie counters on those machines are accurate? I think it's bs for some reason.

i think the calorie counter is more for estimation rather than accurate analysis of wat you burnt. u sound like me when i started out... in fact i tried elliptical at the gym for a while before getting my own at home. its quite manageable after a while and u'll enjoy the perspiration rolling off you soon, haha!
i do abt 30-40 min each day on easy level 1. Maybe it's time to up the notch cos my weight down isn't moving at all for a month already.

oooo - i need this to get me going!!! I'm trying to get on the elliptical five times a week - umm... so far I have one day under my belt! There is something about if you do a task for 2 weeks straight, you build a routine... so i'm hoping to do so!

8/27 - 30 minutes + 15 weights
