Ellipitcal trainer - what to increase to lose weight?

... Using an elliptical trainer at a local gym for 30mins 4 or 5 times a week to lose weight/get fitter. What's my best bet - should I increase the duration, speed, or level over time?

you should try a high intensity work out where you raise your heart rate for about a minute and recover for about a minute or 2. When you dont feel like doing this you should increase your workout time to about a hour of cardio a day.
