Eldaweesda's Diary

Today has been very productive, exercise wise! I did my upper body/arms today and 30 min cardio in between on the treadmill. My legs and arms are now thoroughly fatiqued!:toetap05:

Go Blue!!!!

Nice job w/ the exercise!!!!!! I love the feeling of "fatigue" in my muscles. NOthing makes me happier than waking up sore.....it's painful, yet so rewarding. Great job and keep it up! Go blue!!!!!!

BB - Geminis rule! Ya I think I like to talk more than eat though! Or I should say talk with my mouth full of food!

Brandy - heh, Libra's are great too! Did you know that they are the best astrological match for a Gemini? I am married to a Libra and the only thing we fight about is the amount of money he spends on his wardrobe! or nice things for the house. But he loves food too, in fact he is my food buddy.

Margaret, thanks for the reminder I will post my weight right now.

Go Blue!!!!

I'm a Pisces--one fish swimming along with the current, the other battling it. Yup, that's me. :biggrinjester:

That was great that the Blue team came in 1st this week!

Well, I'm bitching again! not a good weekend. Someone tried to steal my motorhome on Friday between 10am and 6pm - Broad Daylight! I am soooooo mmadd!!!!!:banghead: Now we have to spend $300 deductable for insurance to get our ignition fixed! The person stole lighters and flashlights! I think its a homeless person living in the storage facility where we store our unit. The managers (which live on site) don't seem to care! We are looking for alternate storage but all the places are full. It just makes me soo mad cause we work really hard to maintain it and make sure its safe for our kids and some CRACK HEAD just can break in any time he wants to see what he can steal. Other motorhomes have been broken into as well, not just ours. I'm gonna have to go and wait for the guy with a shot gun and give him some of my justice! ha ha just kidding (We don't own any guns) but sometimes I really wish i did. So I hope that I can get the ignition fixed by Friday cause I have two women including myself expecting to sleep in my motor home for our annual Girls Camping trip weekend this year. I hope I can make it cause there will be a Kayak River Competition this weekend and I have never seen this so I am excited to be a spectator.

I just got back from my weight training with my trainer, and we worked on my legs. She took it easy on me cause I told her that I couldn't walk for 5 days the last time we did lower body. I think it will be ok. I have a little soreness and fatigue but nothing like last time.

Felici, Brandy and Priti, Thanks for your interest in my exercise. I hope that you know that you all inspire me too! I am soo glad that I joined WLF cause it makes me happy to know that we all go through the same challenges when it comes to living a healthy active lifestyle. We have that kinship.

BB - your a Pisces! That's why your soooo funny! I love your humor.

Until tomorrow. Cardio tomorrow!

Awesome that you got your exercise in! Thats so stupid that someone broke into your motor home. You should have the storage place pay for it!!! They obviously aren't doing a good job locking the place up!! SOOOOOO DUMB. Have fun with cardio tomorrow

On my way camping tomorrow for the Girls Annual Camping Weekend so i put my current weight for the summer Solstice Weigh in today. Down to 173lb! Yeah:sifone:

But after this weekend of Beer, Bailey's, Margaritas, wine and all kinds of high fat Dips and food, including my Caramel Stripe Cheesecake, I probably will be up 10lb next weigh in. I don't want to let the team down, but this weekend is very special to me cause I see friends from highschool. Its a great reunion once a year. And boy oh boy do we party! Most of us are Surrey Girls and we know how to party. If your from Vancouver, you know what a Surrey girl is like! Ask ABBA she has probably heard of the term! ha ha.

Well, gotta go finish packing my Motorhome!

I will check back in on Sunday or Monday, depending on my hangover!
:waving:

LOL! You are too funny! I'm glad to see that your motorhome getting broken into isn't ruining your girl's weekend camping out. Have fun!!
And congrats on the loss! :hurray:

Sorry about the problems with the motorhome - but am pleased that it didnt cause too many problems for your trip. I hope that you enjoyed your reunion trip.

It was funny to see you mention Surrey girls. I actually live on the Middlesex / Surrey border which I assume is the English county that your Surrey was named after.

Since it is now Wednesday and you havent posted - I assume that you had a good time and managed to build quite a hangover!

Take care
Love
Margaret

Yes, the girls camping trip was great! The weather even held out with no rain! We did get very drunk on the Friday night. On Saturday we played some games. My relay team won the Beer Olympics Yeah! I was the anchor and I had no idea if I could do it. The object of the game is you run to your beer or drink cooler and open it with the butt end of a Bic lighter, then chug it as fast as possible and run back to your team and pass off the lighter so they can do the same. It was fun. After the 4 deviled eggs that I ate before the race, I wasn't sure if I could hold the beer down or not, but in true Surrey girl fashion, I had no problem chugging it back and keeping it down!

It certainly was a weekend of indulgences. Hopefully, my weight won't be too high on Friday, hard to say as TOM has made his arrival. I did manage to make it to my weight training on Monday morn, and Tues i did 45 min of cardio. Today, I just couldn't get into gear for exercise but tomorrow I am planning to do cardio first thing in the morning.

Margaret, yes ,, the Surrey that I grew up in was named for the Surrey in England. Unfortunately, my Surrey has been labelled as a bad place to live and the girls are labelled as how do i say this nicely, ? the girls are labelled as a bunch of sluts! I guess that was not nicely put , but that is what they say, of course it is not true,, the sluts are from a suburb called Delta! Surrey girls, do know how to party and every other woman in the mainland is just jealous cause we ROCK! I don't even live in surrey anymore but I do defend it ALWAYS!

Kimberly, thanks for stopping by. My motorhome is working now, although it did cost us $280 to fix the ignition! Our insurance deductable was $300 so we ended up not going thru insurance as why waste the other $20, god knows I sure needed it for GAS! my motorhome gets about 10 miles to the gallon! so even though my trip was close it still cost me about $50 in gas! but it was worth it. even though some of the music sucked! but they refused to play my ipod music cause it had some raunchy metal on it! oh and Rhianna. come on eh! these chicks gotta lighten up! next year I'm bringing a generator with some kick ass house speakers and they have no say in what I play, cause I am gonna drown out all their whining with super loud METALLICA!!!!!! I'll show them! I'm gonna put the house speakers on top of my motorhome and blast everyone! ha ha ha

Oh, well I guess I better get my kid out of the bath, she pruning up.

till tomorrow, good night everyone! Go Blue!!!!!!

It sounds like you had a great weekend away. Well done for getting straight back into the swing of exercise when you got back home.

Dont forget to post your weight in the Summer Solstice challenge. Dont worry too much if it is up a little. My weight has shot up since last week and I didnt even have the fun of spending the weekend out partying!

Hey Elda! Loved the tales of your weekend away and all the fun you had! I'm also in love with the fact that you allowed yourself to indulge for the weekend. That's so important! Also CONGRATS on the scale movement, you certainly are rocking it! Good luck with the weigh-in tomorrow!

Well, I'm back from another wonderful camping trip. We all went for 5 nights to a little fishing lake just outside Merritt, BC. Our little aluminum boat was great but we didn't catch any fish:angelsad2: The ice had just come off the lake about a week ago and apparently, the fish were still sleeping down at the bottom. We took our sons new dirt bike because there are lots of Cross country ski trails which are used for dirt bikes and ATVs during the summer. We had a great time! The weather was 30 degrees for two days and in the high 20s for the other days. NO RAIN!!!! it was truly a miracle!!! I indulged in bad foods again, but because of all my hiking and walking the dog, I figured it would balance out the Smores! Yeah right!!!! But still, I just weighed myself and I am 174lb. I am quite surprised as I ate a whole lot of junk food, the past 5 days.

I am looking forward to getting back to the gym. I just can't live without my iPod. I will check in with everyone tomorrow, gotta go do some more mountains of stinky, campfire clothing!!! GROSS!!!

Bye for now,

Ooooo camping! So much fun! Glad you had a great time, although I can't imagine camping when it's 30 degrees outside!!! Sounds like it was a fun time for you. :) And I'm glad to hear that the scales are continuing to be kind!

I had to work this morning and I am taking the day off from exercise. I'm still a little tired from all that camping/hiking I did! Ha ha it was fun. Tomorrow I have to work in the morning but I am going to the gym in the afternoon to do a upper body weight training. Then I will go for a power walk after dinner. My husband and I are excited to get back to our lifestyle change.

Heather, thanks for visiting. Camping is my favorite thing to do. The weather was hot, but there was a nice breeze so it didn't seem that hot.

I'm so glad that everyone from the Blue team is doing so well. GO BLUE!!!

It is great that you had another enjoyable camping trip. Also encouraging that you do so much activity / exercise while away having fun that it kind of cancels out a whole heap of really enjoyable junk food.

It all goes to prove the benefit of exercise alongside our normal control with our food in this new lifestyle that we are adopting.

It is great that all the blue team members survived into the individual phase of summer solstice this week. Did you see that there is a new thread that we have to use to post our weights now for the individual phase.

Omigosh Elda I totally forgot you were most likely using CELSIUS instead of FAHRENHEIT!!! I automatically thought fahrenheit and thought "oh my god it must be FREEZING where she lives!!" Then when you said it was hot, I realized that it must be celsius. ;) I'm a genius! :smilielol5:

Sounds like you had a lot of fun on your camping trips! You are too funny with your Surrey girl talk and blasting Metallica next year! Remind me not to go camping with you..lol...I HATE Mettalica. :D

Well, I made it to the gym yesterday afternoon and managed to do 30 min of jogging on treadmill at 5.0 and my upper body weight training. I'm a little sore today, but not as sore as I thought I would be!:sifone:

Today, I went back again this morning at 8:30 am for my cardio and I did 25 min at level 10 on the elliptical and 15 min jogging at intervals between level 5.0 - 6.0 incline 1.0.

So today and yesterday have been quite productive for me. I feel like I am getting back on track. Now I have to go and mow the lawn. Hopefully the weather holds out long enough (no rain please!):ack2:

Margaret, thanks for the info about the new Blue thread, I was not aware of it. Yes, I truly love being out doors.

Heather, I'm glad you popped by. Yeah, living in Canada we use Celsius for temperature. The funny thing is, for the first 4 years of school I was taught the American Imperial measurement system ie miles, yards and Fahrenheit. Then they decided that we would switch to the Metric system! Well, this really screwed me up! Some things I use the Imperial system and others I use Metric. Sorry if I confused you. Good luck with the weigh in tomorrow.

Kimberly, WHAT? you don't like Metallica? Come on! Your an American Citizen are you not? ha ha just kidding. Yeah, I can't help it I like hard rock:coolgleamA: but I also like just about everything else as well, oh except COUNTRY!!!! I would rather have all my teeth pulled without freezing than listen to country music! but there are exceptions (Dixie Chicks, Blue Rodeo and a couple others that I can't remember the names of?) Well, I guess I do like all music but I know some music is really annoying to listen to, especially if you don't like it. That's why I thought I would blast Metallica, because most people don't like it. In fact my wedding song was "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica Ha ha you should of seen my gramma's face! priceless!:reddevil:

Good luck to all with the Summer Solstice Weigh in tomorrow.
GO BLUE!!!!

I did my upper body weight training again, yesterday as well as 30 min of cardio on the treadmill. Had to work this morning so I will be going back to the gym at 4pm for 45 min of cardio. Then tonight my hubby and I plan on getting back to our 3km power walk after dinner. I feel really good today. Yesterday, I went to the Doc cause I have been having pain in my stomache for quite some time now, after I eat. The pain radiates to my back. My doc is an anal Surgeon and he doesnt seem to think I need a ultra sound, he thinks I have GERD. So I am now taking Nexium for stomache acid/ulcer problems. So far my stomache aches have gone away ! Yeah, now I can eat without being scared of pain. But my back still bothers me, maybe thats muscle pain? Regardless, I hope this medication does the trick.

Back to the grind I go!:hurray:

Go Blue

Hey Elda! I've had GERD for a while now and I can tell you that Nexium does a WONDERFUL job of taking care of it. So if you still have pain even with taking the medicine, I would recommend going back to the doc just to make sure. Reflux is a pain in the butt, too. I've had mine since I was about 20 and always thought maybe with the correct diet it would go away, but no luck. :( If i miss my nexium dose by even a day, I feel it. Blah. But then again if the meds work, might as well use them!

Good luck this week with Summer Solstice!!

Well, my new medication seems to be working fine, although I have been getting headaches and mild runs! Nothings perfect I suppose. I'd rather have mild side effects than stomache pain as I had been experiencing. One bad thing though, now I can go crazy on Girl Guide cookies and have no pain! Had 4 last night in fact. Didn't have any pain, but unfortunately it did effect my weight! I've been really good with the exercise this week but my weight has stayed the same as last. At least I did not gain! I must admit I have been chowing down now that my stomache feels better. Oh, well, guess I gotta work out harder if I cant' control what goes in my mouth.

Heather, too bad you have GERD too. But at least I have a partner in pain ha ha Let me know if you have any food suggestions that I should avoid, or food that i should eat. This is all new to me and I would rather not take medication if I can avoid it. Could coffee be making me have more acid? I just started drinking coffee about 1 year ago and that is when my major pain really started. I used to drink Diet Pepsi for my caffine, then I switched to coffee cause the aspertame was giving me headaches. I guess the acid from the Pepsi could of done some of the damage as well!:toetap05:

Good luck to all on the Summer Solstice Challenge
GO BLUE TEAM!!!!!
