Eldaweesda's Diary

My god, I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your family!!! I'm keeping you guys in my thoughts, and hoping that they catch that psychopathic bastard ASAP and put him where he belongs.

Also sorry to hear about your head cold! Take a rest and let yourself heal emotionally and physically. Hope you feel better this weekend.

Thanks for stopping in everyone, I really do appreciate your visits and comments.

I missed my personal training yesterday as my daughters have been ill with the stomache flu and I couldn't get them out of bed. This morning I drugged them and myself because we had to work and I just knew if I called in sick that there would be no one to replace me. My youngest daughter was on the pot twice with the runs while there and my other daughter had it once. We left early cause it got slow towards 11am. I'm keeping my middle daughter home from kindergarten again today. I still am taking Advil Cold and Sinus for my flu. I don't think I will make the gym this afternoon for cardio but I do plan on going for my 3km powerwalk with hubby tonight. We went last night and I was fine so hopefully getting out tonight will make me feel better with the fresh air, and of course car exhaust as they speed past us.

I am looking forward to the conclusion of the Biggest Loser tonight! I think Kelly will win it. We will see.

I have not found out any more details about my cousin and the murder of her children yet. She is still under guard in the hospital. The coroners report is supposed to be made public any day now. I hope some people get fired in the police/justice system over the bungling of this investigation.

I am hoping that I will be feeling better tomorrow so I can resume my exercise regime. It's time to start sweating again. My body feels ready to move. Hopefully, it will release some emotional stress that I have been carrying around with me.

Have a good day everyone. I hope to be in better spirits tomorrow.

I'm sorry to hear you and your family's been sick. :(

That's a shame they haven't caught him yet. I hope they track him down soon. I'm sure the police in such a small town are not used to dealing with murder cases like that, hence the bungling.

Kim, thanks for your support

They caught him this morning, 10 km outside of the town of Merritt, BC.

A local hunter tracked him for the last few days. Apparently, he asked the local RCMP if they wanted his help tracking the suspect as he knew all the "nooks and crannies" in the entire valley as he hunted there all his life and they said no they didn't need his help. Well, thank goodness he took it upon himself to go and hunt the suspect any way. He tracked him down with his trusted Bull Mastif Dog this morning at 10am. The dog almost ripped the guys arm to shreds and then the hunter tied him to a tree and called the RCMP to come and collect the suspect. Pretty terrible police hey! This man is a hero and the police now look even worse than they did at the start of this tragedy!

I am so relieved and now there is no reason (other than my flu bug) to get back to my routine! So tomorrow I plan on loading up with Advil Cold & Sinus and working out! Hopefully, the drugs don't give me too much energy, I might be real sore on Friday! Oh well, it will be a good sore.

Thanks again, for everyone's support.

Have a great Day!

Man--am I glad they caught him!! That is finally some wonderful news. Thank God that man took it upon himself to track him down. Why would the police refuse his help?? Must be ego.

Hugs to you and your family. Hopefully his trial and conviction will bring some closure and help you all in the grieving process. :hug2:

Maybe the gym will help you work out some of your anger towards the bungling police. :) :smash:

I am so glad they caught that scum bag!!! I hope you feel better soon so that you can get exercising again. But don't overwork yourself!

Today I woke up feeling great. It's the first time in about two weeks that I actually got a good sleep. With sick kids and worrying about my cousin, I have been a wreck. Well, now that everything is better, I am back on track.

First thing I did this morning was weigh myself and to my surprise I am actually down to 174lb. I have not exercised in ages and I honestly thought I would be up. I guess having the flu and not eating very much must have helped!:ack2:

So I am happy that I can restart my lifestyle change at a lower weight. It helps to lift me out of the mini depression I was in. Today I have the dirtiest stinkiest dog to wash. The whole 2200sq house has to be vacuumed and all three slimy bathroom need to be scrubbed. I haven't cleaned my house for the last two weeks so it is so gross:iagree:

Then, if I still am feeling energetic I plan to go to the gym and do some weight training. I don't know if i will get to do my 3km walk tonight as it is SNOWING here (and killing my tulips!!!!!)

I hope everyone has a good weigh in today for the summer solstice challenge. Go Blue!!!

Hey Elda! I'm SO GLAD to hear that the scumbag was caught. Thank god for that man and his assistance. Glad to hear that everyone is feeling better as well!! Your schedule sounds so ambitious for today! You're inspiring me to do some much needed cleaning of my own. :p

Congrats on the scale movement!! GO BLUE!

I am so sorry to read about what you have been going through. That whole story was just so tragic. Anyone would have difficulty coping with that kind of news.

It seems like a cloud has suddenly lifted with that terrible person getting caught and good things are starting to happen again for you.

It is great that you are seeing a loss on the scales. Things like that always make us feel a little better about ourselves.

When things go badly - exercise can be a very productive way of channelling the aggressive response that we all feel within.

Hopefully you will get a double benefit from your house cleaning because it will be a good exercise which will help your weightloss in addition to making the house nicer to live in.

Thanks for visiting, Heather, Brandy and Margaret.

Today has been a good day back on the track!:iagree:

I had personal training this morning at 8:30am and I worked on my new upper body routine. My arms are very fatigued so, my trainer did her job today.
She worked more on the weight training today and I only got about 15min of cardio but that is ok cause I walked to pick up my kids from school today. That is 20 min of walking at a moderate pace pushing my youngest in a stroller. Then tonight hubby and I will be going for our 3km powerwalk. The weather is beautiful here today but cold.:ack2: Still, nice weather for a walk.

My legs have adjusted to my new runners finally! Yeah! I was beginning to think that they had too high of an arch support. It was just that my legs were so accustomed to walking in runners with no support!:cuss: So it took a while to get used to the new ones.

Have a great day everyone.:waving:

I have just been catching up and I am blown away by the news about your cousin. There really are no words for how bad that all is , but I am glad for the relative calm it's giving you all, to know that man has at least been caught. I am so sorry to hear about this dreadful event and cruel loss.

You are doing so well with your weight loss and exercise. I was interested in the details of your new program - the cardio between sets - is that between one group of exercises and the next group, or do you have bits of cardio in the rests between say, one set of 8 and the next set of 8 on the same exercise? I hope that's not just being too dense.

Some of your posts really cracked me up today
... I told her I wanted a challenge - NOT TO DIE OF EXTREME PAIN! ...

Up early this morning!:banghead: I have to jump and scream to get my kids up on a weekday but for some stupid reason, they ALWAYS!!!!! get up about 1 hour before my alarm on the weekends and wake me up to serve them breakfast. I need new kids!!!! I can't wait until they are teenagers! I am gonna get them back big time!:smilielol5: ...

How great that your scales are saying 174 lb! And .... BMI - 29.9 !! Is that a milestone or what!!

Congratulations!!!

Today has been a busy day! Couldn't get to the gym as I had to take my motorhome in for a recall.:driving: I have only driven it twice and it really freaks me out as it is 25 ft long and scary to drive in the city. Being so large, people sure move out of your way if you come into their lane though! ha ha:smilielol5:

Felici, long time no hear! Thanks for your interest in my workout routine. I will try to explain it the best I can. Here is an example of my current Leg/lower body routine.

Bosu lunge with 12lb dumbells-------------3 sets of 15
Butt Blaster, 10lb dumbell------------------3 sets of 20
Reverse Crunch------------------------------3 sets of 15

cardio on the treadmill, incline 8-9 at 3.5mph---------3 sets of 4min

Squat machine 20lb bar bell----------------------------3 sets of 15
oblique crunches on floor-------------------------------3 sets of 15
side plank------------------------------------------------3 sets of 15sec-30sec

cardio on Transformer, level 6-------------------------3 sets of 4min
So 1 set would be 15 Bosu lunge,20 Butt Blaster, 15 Reverse Crunch
then I would do 5 min cardio
2nd set would be 15 Bosu lunge, 20 Butt Blaster, 15 Reverse Crunch
then 5 min cardio
3rd set would be 15 Bosu lunge, 20 Butt Blaster, 15 Reverse Crunch

I always do 3 sets of the first 3 exercises then 3 sets of the second 3 exercises.

Set 1 would be 15 Squat machine, 15 oblique crunches, 30 sec side plank
5 min cardio
Set 2 """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
5 min cardio
Set 3 """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
5 min cardio

It's easier to do 3 sets of 3. I do 6 different exercises but only 3 sets. So it works out to 30min of cardio but it is broken up into 5 min intervals. It really keeps my heart rate way up there and it makes the exercises seem less monotonous.

I hope this clarifies my routine better. I didn't understand it when I first started weight training. I bet you wish I didn't explain now right? I know I am very longwinded! Its because I am a Gemini, I like to hear my own voice, or should I say see my own voice.

Hope everyone is doing good this week. Tomorrow is Summer Solstice weigh in! I'm afraid to step on the scale!

Until tomorrow:bigear:

Geez! Another Gemini!!?? There sure are a lot of them on this forum. :D Gemini's must have a propensity for enjoying their food. :biggrinjester:

Glad to hear you're back into the swing of things. I agree, you need new kids. That is thoroughly rotten of them to wake you up early on weekends when they are so hard to get out of bed during the week. :biggrinjester:

Good luck with the challenge weigh in. So far we have a 2.3lb loss as a team.

NOT ME!! I'm a libra. I'm supposed to be "balanced" like our scale symbol... NOT ME. But then again... I'm in culinary arts as a major in college. I definitely enjoy food!

Today has been very productive, exercise wise! I did my upper body/arms today and 30 min cardio in between on the treadmill. My legs and arms are now thoroughly fatiqued!:toetap05:

BB - Geminis rule! Ya I think I like to talk more than eat though! Or I should say talk with my mouth full of food!

Brandy - heh, Libra's are great too! Did you know that they are the best astrological match for a Gemini? I am married to a Libra and the only thing we fight about is the amount of money he spends on his wardrobe! or nice things for the house. But he loves food too, in fact he is my food buddy.

Margaret, thanks for the reminder I will post my weight right now.

Go Blue!!!!

Good Luck with weigh in! I must tell you that you have been a great motivation for me today and this past week to exercise! Thank you!

You afe brave driving the motor home!! 25 feet! We used one on holidays last year and I never even sat in the driver's seat once! And I'd say yours was a heap longer.

Thanks for the explanation Eldaweesda. And no I'm not sorry I asked! I have a lot of ignorance about these issues - but I am interested. I had managed to get a vision of you maybe exercising some other part of your body during the rest time between sets of repetitions - a sort of super stepped up exercise pattern - instead of spending the little breaks lying in a heap on the floor - like me! :D Exercise talk is inspiring too - I'm agreeing with Brandy there. :)
