Ekta's Diary...

Hi Ekta. Women's weight can fluctuate wildly & most probably it is fluid retention. Try reducing your starchy carbohydrates, but especially wheat, just for a couple of days & weigh again. Eat more fresh vegetables & some fresh fruit. I think you may be vegetarian. If not, eat some lean meat with salad or vegetables, maybe a meal of yoghurt & fruit. My Fitness Pal is a great phone app for tracking calories, protein, carbs etc. I used it for years until I got a fair idea of how many calories I am consuming. Keep going sweetie & don't give up. Just cutting out wheat for a while will most probably do the trick & get those scales moving downwards. Cheers, xo Cate

I hope so too Delsid..bcoz few days ago i was glad i lost 1 KG and then i gained 2 KG ...yesterday was a mess...i was soo close to not exercising but i did it anyways..
I think i am not eating right..But i am such a big foodie so the transition to eat healthy is most difficult..so i am taking baby steps...But yesterday was seriously wake up call, now my biggest challenge is to not lose motivation...and you are right " sooner or later your body will figure it out" . :)

Hi Cate...i read few articles about increase in scale (not fat) due to fluid retention or soreness at beginning of start of a new program...i hope my weight gain is due to that factors..
As I am a Vegeterian - Wheat is generally eaten every day and I think u are right about cutting out wheat bcoz it constitutes of major portion of diet..I will try to find substitute for it and implement it in my food. And thank u Cate and delsid for taking time to help me out..:)

I gained weight when I was vegan, despite the fact that most people lose weight, though I didn't do it right. I did it for animal rights, not health reasons, and a lot of my substitutions were unhealthy. Make sure you are getting enough protein so you're not overly hungry.

Heyy..Butterfly88...
As Cate pointed out..it seems my Carb intake had increased which i think led to weight gain..
Finding Protein Substitutes for Vegan is difficult..however i have started to eat Wheat only once in a a Day & also included Oats in my Diet...
I never knew eating Healthy will be so complicated..:p

Hey...
Its been a long time for me to come ont his forum....I have since then gained 5 KGS now my current weight is 95 KGS.

Past few months have been really stressful with Studies, Job & constantly thinking about weight loss, which had led to lots of stress that my mind would go blank while in the class, so i stopped going & also stopped Working out & almost caused a loss of 1.5 million to my Employer. However my Boss was kind enough to let it go & said mistakes happen but it was sort of a wake up call for me and after one of my friend suggested, i have been seeing a Counsellar and she said my mind has become a Dustbin with everything I am Loading and as I am not good with sharing my thoughts nothing is being unloaded so she has been helping me out a lot for past 1.5 months.

I have started going to my Classes regularly too for past week and also Have Finally Joined a Gym & starting out TodaY. and I have to say i was embarresed to accept my Failure .

I hope writing this post helps me & please if you have ever gone through something like this or have some Tips ...Please let me Know..

Sorry for Rambling...but i think it was a necessary step for me to go in the right direction....

Regards,
Ekta.

Most of us can relate.
Don't look backward.
Look forward.
Every good day you string together will make you feel better!
Welcome back

Welcome back Ektra. When you say your mind has become a dustbin, that is exactly what my doctor said to me. She suggested I picture a dustbin with the bottom out of it & let everything fall through. I am an emotional sponge.
I try not to dwell on past mistakes. Forget what has happened before hon & try to look forward. We're in this together, xo Cate
