Sounds like you are making some amazing progress! I can't wait to see the pictures!!!

Maybe I will get around to it this weekend. I have been looking for a good before to go with it but I cant seem to find one. I also don't believe there has ever been a pic of me on the internet so it is a big step lol. I was actually putting thought into the wardrobe selection. Shorts, pants, jeans, boxers, breifs, spandex. Too many choices. I actually lost my nerve when I realized that they would be pretty pointless unless I was shirtless.
 
Yes, shirtless is the way to go! Show us that 4/6 pack!

I, for one, am looking forward to it!

Well I can guarantee they will not compare to those bikini pics that you have floating around.

Well I am a salesman. It is my natural inclination to pretend that I know exactly what I am talking about. Especially when I don't have the slightest clue.

I also think the squats and deadlifts have paid dividends because usually any sort of manual labor completely wrecks my back. I did more this weekend than I have done in probably5-6 years and I have no pain at all.

Gotta love that, right?

lol Thats how it is spelled on my machine but I stand corrected, yes I do work out like a girl but I'm getting better. When my squat gets over 300 I am going to start doing bicep curls with the boys.

Is there a particular reason you're on the program you're on? :) Strength training, I mean. I'm curious. Have you experimented with other formats? Upper/lower? Other kinds of splits? ME, DE, RE? ^_^

What I'm doing now is pretty much a mash-up of some of the 5x5 routines I've read about from Bill Starr, Mark Rippetoe, stronglift.com. Also got a good bit of advice from Steve here on the forum as well as a friend of mine that I use to box with that owns a gym. I havent really experimented with anything else too much. I like the A,B split I am doing now and I am seeing a lot of results. I am sure in another 6-8 weeks I will try something different.

When the ex dumped me for a 19 year old girl he met online who lives 2000 miles away from him, my buddy rented "MMA's greatest knockouts Vol. I and II" and we drank beer and watched dudes get knocked out. I noticed the shot that was most common was a left hook to the ear-area. OUCH! Good times, perfect activity for a dumping, LOL

Ok, I had it! I might was well start fighting. I have been wanting to for over a year, now, but have been preoccupied with running. Well, apparently running is integral to fighting, so......

Sorry about the dumping, though you seam to be making it through all right lol. Yeah MMA guys are for the most part pretty shitty boxers. That combined with the tiny gloves makes for some pretty sweet KO's. Left hooks are wicked. Most right handed guys keep the right low and a bit drawn back. The left hook is sneaky because from in close it almost comes from behind you. So yeah. They suck lol. I am right handed and box left handed though so I dont have to worry bout em.
There is WEC card this Sunday if you get bored from all the partying and beer drinking. Their cards are always solid. You ever get to check out any of those Strikeforce shows in San Jose? Or is my geography off and you are no where near there?
